This game is great. I'm always stunned by the quality of the SteamWorld franchise considering all the different genres it spans, only for every game to be really good.

I'm extremely conflicted on this game.

Yes, the optimization is horrible, we all know that. However, the core of the game is pretty decent from my initial impressions. I love the grid mode and progression trees especially. It plays like a more thought-out vanilla CS1, and that's all I wanted (and expected) at launch.

So I'm torn. Because I can feel how great this game could be with updates and mods (and likely WILL be considering how CS1 improved over the years), but it's total bs to release games that are clearly just not ready for $50 with no "early access" label.

I'm going to leave a negative review for right now, purely on the grounds that I don't think it's acceptable to release a game like this where the main goal is to continuously grow a city full of assets with such little forethought to how it will run. I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the dev team and assume that they were forced by Paradox to release it early.

I think if they fix the optimization, allow modders to improve the game, and steadily release content updates/dlc this game should be great in the future.

This game is an obvious homage to the minigame "Tanks" on the game Wii Play

Wii play was a mostly bad tech demo that was cool a few times, but Tanks was the highlight.

I played the "wii" series of games all the time as a kid, so I'm happy to see the love that went into this very faithful recreation.

I think $9 is a tiny bit too high, but this is fantastic budget game with a solid amount of content

This is just Texas Holdem. For a free poker game, it's shockingly well-made and doesn't feel pay-to-win

I played through Psychonauts on the 360 and loved it. This PC port seems good. If it appears buggy the first time you play it, that's how the original was.

This is a rare example of a game that actually works BETTER in VR. Super fun to watch and just as fun to play
