Before I start I'd like to state that I've been so torn between recommending this game or not that even now I could see myself changing my review.

I love Dragon Age! I've played hundreds of games and Dragon Age IS my favourite game franchise.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a well crafted game, but it fails the fans of the franchise (in my opinion). Make no mistake, were this game to be called something different and not bear the Dragon Age name on it, I would fully recommend it.

To give you some information about what I disliked I will keep it to general terms as to not spoil anyone:

- The dialogue is horrible, no one talks the way these characters talk unless you are 6 years old. This is an 18+ game I would hope the dialogue would be more mature and not, as it seems, aimed at teenagers, sometimes teenagers with ADHD. On top of that, Rook's dialogue options makes it feel as though Rook has the personality of a potato. Reminds me of JRPGs, you can choose 1 of 3 options, but they are all the same. You know when the option you are picking affects the game and sometimes even how it will affect the game.

- The story pacing is off. REALLY off. It makes no sense how certain events follow other events.

- The gameplay isn't terrible actually, but if you liked previous DA combat, well this game's combat resembles that exactly 2%. You probably will use you basic attacks more than you did in Inquisition and that's saying something.

- Every time the game brings something that was part of a previous game up it feels like a punch to the gut as you probably made decisions about it and since the game only cares about 3 decisions it goes generic about it or just outright refuses to acknowledge it.

As it stands DA: The Veilguard as a Dragon Age game, in my opinion, gets a 5/10. As a generic action rpg game I give it a 7/10.

I highly recommend this game. It's not the most unique game you'll ever see but what it does works really well.
They clearly wanted this game to feel alive and managed that with dozens and dozens of characters, I wish they were a little bit more interesting, and by that i mean having bigger, more realized personalities but with so many of them I guess it gets hard to set them apart from each other in bigger ways.
Still that's my only complaint on the game.

Personally I don't like this game, but I can see why it may appeal to some people.
I prefer the previous 2 entries' Definitive Editions but you may like this game.

A really good Guardians of the Galaxy game. If you like the IP I highly recommend it.

One of the best games of this year.
And one that actually listens to its playerbase.

The game is amazing!!!
Sure it doesn't do anythign out of the ordinary. But, it combines a lot of good and fun mechanisms in a cohesive and well put together story.
The open world is really fun, and for the first time ever I refuse to use "Fast Travel". It feels that good the traverse the game's world.
If you like spider-man you will like this game. if you like open world games, you will enjoy this game. If you love both... This game is Perfection!!!

I hope we keep seeing Playstation games on PC. And this console port is extremely well done both for those who like controllers and for those you like Keyboard and Mouse ;) .

Where to start with this? There's a ton to be said about this game.

I loved Portia, and I'm loving Sandrock as well. (by the end of it's EA I expect to love it more).
Most of the changes from Portia to Sandrock I liked and enjoy playing with.
If you liked Portia you will enjoy Sandrock.

That being said I do have a few thing bugging me which I would like to talk about. (Please notice most of these are personal opinions not complaints)

- The town feels baren. Yes people move around but that's it. And it doesn't help that the town is in a desert. Now, from what I've seen the player affects Sandrock more then in Portia and that could lead to some really interesting quests and when those are done, transform the town completely. (I don't know why but my mind keeps coming back to imagening Sandrock trnasform into a Vegas-like city. Filled with lights and colours that would really make it pop in the middle of the desert. Obviously I'm not expecting this from the game but making the town feel more alive and colourful would be a really nice improvement).

- The characters are more forgettable in Sandrock. Maybe it's just that they aren't finished, but even those that have some content already in the game don't feel interesting enough for me to remember them. Maybe it's the lack of content or maybe just the names. (I mention the names because me and one of my friends actually said that the names of the characters that ae just walking around the town seem a bit more memorable then some of the ones we got) Now, again, this could be just because they are very barebones for now. I really hope this improves.

- One final thing I don't like much about the game is the farming system which I expect to get changed a little bit in the future but right now be advised, messing around with farming will "drain" you a bit if you are unprepared, which I guess fits the theme but can be annoying.

Regardless of all this I truly love this game and can't wait to see what the future brings!!

So far I've played through the whole campaign, the Handsome Jackpot DLC and this DLC.
This is what DLC should feel like. It brings new enemies to the table making the gameplay different enough that it feels fresh but not so different that you need to relearn how to play.
It does have a few clichés and although the story sounds interesting it then just ends, it feels a bit like they intended to explore it a bit more but ran out of money and so they just ended the story (my only negative take from the game).
The new equipment is really fun to play with, Zane's writing is amazing, i think i heard him talk more in ths short DLC than I did during the entire campaign of Borderlands 3 PLZ GIVE ME MORE OF THIS.

Overall a Good DLC. You should get it, but i believe you shoudl probably just get the season pass as the DLC is a bit expensive for like 6-8 hours of content (without rushing).
