Hello kiddies, time to open your sleep eyes and shut your mouth holes as we diverge into the wonderful lands(land? what makes lands over land?) of Battleblock Theater, so grab some popcorned or creamed peas while we look at this game.

The game starts off by showing it's strong humor, voiced by the hilarious Stamper, a great pleasure to see considering humor is becoming more and more difficult to pull off. But during the opening scene, you also so how much energy this whole game is going to express. The whole base of this game, is a platformer with some thinking in between. Always gotta consider where to go and when and how to get there when you do.

The main game is mainly, collect the gems in a level and escape. Pretty basic for rules, but in between you'll find and want to get more gems and the Golden Yarn or legend. And these gems and yarn can be used to buy the other big part about this game. The Prisoners.

There is, a large variety of prisoners, with more still coming via weekly additions. Varying from 5 shapes, pyramid, sphere, cylinder, cube, and special, there are many prisoners to unlock and play as. Along with all the prisoners, there's also the weapons you can get from the hush hush, wink wink, dealer kitties. Each weapon holding their own advantage randing from Acid Bubbles, Top Hats that stick to walls, and even a freeze ray, FREEZE RAY!

However, one down side you may notice is...the levels themselves seem basic even with all the stuff that can be put in them, so you'll probably wanna take breaks in between just to be used to all the block scenery you'll see repeatedly. There's also the issue with the small soundtrack, but all the songs defiently are catchy so it's ok to listen to on repeat, especially, the secret level theme (trust me, look it up and get ready to laugh).

But the biggest part of Battle Block, is the multiplayer. This game gets way better with 2 players, and even 4. With 2 players the levels change to accomidate the co-op so you'll have to think and act together...while also dying to each other all the same. And the Battle Multiplayer is easily my favorite part of the game. Plenty of modes to engage in from Death Match, Paint the Blocks, Bank the gold and more. This game is defiently meant for friendly (or unfriendly) play, but it's still pretty ok for the humerous story on single and co-op player.

Overall, this game may have some repitition with the music and stages, certain levels could be hard to 100% due to weird positioning of gems, but the multiplayer and the variety of characters, and the humor are what give this game a shiny gold sticker (good job! Too bad you don't get platinum, now eat your broccoli). I give it, 8/10
