Capcom really outdid themselves with this iteration of the franchise and refined the core formula to a more fluid, smoother and more action packed version with lots of Quality of life features in contrast to the classic slow and more methodical approach.

Sadly it still has its technical problems (can be a CPU hog, broken for some people and often disconnects mid-quest with other people to name some) and as a long term player of the series you need to get used to the new style of fighting first but if you get past these hurdles you get the same old hour sink of a game like you expect. If you like Monster Hunter you really should give it a spin and I recommend to get the Iceborne DLC (would be the G-Rank expansion in previous titles) as well as it just doubles the game.
