An amazing FPS rouguelike with a bit too much required meta progression but a focus on fun over hardcore balance. The best thing about this game is that it allows you to play it even if you're not an FPS pro, every character has multiple builds they can pursue throughout the run and many of those don't even require you to consistently hit an enemy's weakpoint.
One of the most important choices the devs made for this game is that they focus on players having fun with crazy combinations and an large amount of powerful choices. The balancing in this game can be wacky and if you seek out specific builds you'll generally be able to blaze through the game consistently, it's up the players to limit themselves once they get skilled enough.

Fun game so far but I hate secondary account requirements, glad Sony saw sense.

A game that is fun to play with friends, it's not super easy to get into but it can be pretty rewarding if you do. An issue with the game's town system is that a lot of the runs can end up being pretty samey. The reason for that is that optimized builds exist for your characters based on the amount of starting gold and shards you have, which you can gurantee due ti the aformentioned town system that lets you craft cards and upgrade them.

A much bigger issue and the reason I wouldn't recommend this game is that the devs are forcing a new launcher onto you with it. Needing a seperate launcher for this formerly indie game is a massive annoyance and having it pushed onto you after having bought if even more so.

The art in this game is its saving grace, it alone is probably enough to keep some people going. Potion effects add a unique twist, subtly changing your appearance but it's only really noticeable on the potion screen.

The gameplay is where the game falters—clunky movements, non-intuitive control choices like the absence of mouse support, not accounting for non-QWERTY keyboards, and imprecise hitboxes sour the overall experience. It's particularly baffling why diagonal movement feels faster than moving straight, making for an uneven and often frustrating navigation.

With its current price, it might be worth a look for the art alone, but with polished gems like HoloCure available, this game feels like an unfinished project best left on the drawing board.

In short, it's got the aesthetic down, but when it comes to gameplay, it's outclassed and outmatched.

Best Survivor-like bar none. Tons of systems that interact to create fun builds and unique combinations of character-specific skills.
Of course, once you know the game better it devolves into rushing the strongest collabs and best tank items but the game has enough challenges and alternate modes to keep even the metagamers busy for more than enough time.

It's a solid experience at the start but then it kinda starts to drag due to getting busy work and because your time in the ocean scales a ton while the management side gets left behind pretty quickly.

The issue is that later enemies get really annoying with their movesets and you don't really get a good answer to them. This leads to long drawn out battles with frustrating intermissions if you dare to encouter a trash mob while fighting them.

The issue with imbalance between gameplay is probably even larger, you can stay under water for like 20-60 minutes later on, while the entire above-ocean part never really goes past 5-10 minutes. The game is called Dave the Diver, not the restaurant owner, so that seems like a weird complaint, however there is no real payoff for staying underwater so long. Due to massive costs you get progress gated hunting the same fish over and over again accumulating wealth and building up more stockpiles which get invalidated every once in a while anyway. It's gotten to the point where I'm honestly thinking about just skipping through days to make money and stop fishing all together.

Finally, the mission design. This is probably the main issue, a lot of them just feel like really pointless busywork. Get 10 of this material, dive to that location and take a picture, go back to the surface and come back tomorrow, etc. When you reach the village it gets really bad, be prepared for multiple hours of mmorpg-side-quest-tier quests.

All in all, it's a good 7/10 experience that kind of loses its charm halfway through but still gives you enough systems to ineract with to keep you somewhat hooked.

This isn't really a bad game, it's actually pretty okay. However, the only way I'd recommend it is if you've played other Vampire Survivor-likes exhaustively and just want more with a new coat of paint.

This game is missing a lot of basic features and innovations other games of this genre have shown over the realtively short lifespan of it and thus this game feels very barebones. Comparing this to other games in a similar price segment like Vampire Survivor itself or even HoloCure (which is free) and I see no real reason to play this instead of those, even if this were free.
If you want some more Touhou Flavoring (including a bit more bullet hell) Touhou Library Survivors would have you covered.

All in all, this game is just not really worth your time if you haven't tried out the more polished prodcuts that already exist, but I wouldn't say it's a bad offering or not worth being appreciated.

I will play some more to see if I can change my mind, but right now I would not recommend this DLC. It's just a really bad value proposition currently.

For half the price of the base game (which is great and I heavily recommend!) you get 1 short mini campaign with lore that is, quite frankly, worse than most amateur writing I read. Couple that with the actual campaign gives you newbie characters with no cards and no deckbuilding, the worst part of the game. Then add on top that you get no rewards for the run you do it in and you've got a recipe for a terrible addition.

Yogger is probably the biggest letdown. Maybe I was expecting too much but for him to be a warrior with only his new base set of cards and a single new item was a big let down.

The skins are nice, I suppose.

I'm not sad I bought this DLC because it supports the devs and they made a great game but I would recommend only buying it for that express purpose. You're not getting much from this, I would recommend the skins pack over this DLC.

Game's decent and has some interesting takes on systems like levelling up skills themselves with skilltrees and all. However in general it doesn't do enough to distiguish itself from the other ARPGs out there and fails to eclipse big competition.
This in of itself wouldn't be a big issue, sometimes something new is enough reason to sink time into it. Sometimes you need a change of pace after grinding PoE, D3, what have you for hundreds or thousands of hours.

No, the game isn't really the issue, it's the devs in this case. As of right now I would recommend not investing into this product until it comes out, whenever that may be. It certainly wasn't 2020.
