Oh, look! This toilet paper has 3 layers, not 2042.

An amazing game! An amazing storyline, very good dialogues, good combat mechanics, graphics. And the thrill of being chased by a horde? Incomparable and heart-pumping! This game deserves more awards and a sequel!

Ignore my Steam playtime for this game. I just played it here to enable my comment option. I played this game hundreds if not a thousand hours back when it was launched. And I still play it on EA Games. I recently got 100hrs there. As an ex-army officer, I genuinely love this RTS. Probably the best I ever played. It was huge during my academy training and I played in competitions with friends and army buddies. The campaigns are really engaging and fun. The Skirmish mode is also very enjoyable and the fan community still deploys custom maps. This game really deserves a remastered or a 2 version. Don't get me wrong, plenty of good RTSs out there. But for me (and a large community) this game is for the history books. It doesn't get the credit it deserves. Back in the days, we had to do a presentation on army stuff. Everyone did PowerPoint. I made a scenarios and a movie using this game. Goes without saying everyone was impressed.

Early Access Review
"The game has great potential." is almost ubiquitous with "thoughts and prayers". I had the opportunity to enjoy many years ago the beauty and excitement of F-16 MRF and F-22 Lightning 3. I was hyped when I saw gameplay footage of Nuclear Option and decided to buy the game.
To summarize, this "pay-to-test" business model fuels ♥♥♥♥♥♥ products.
Are the airplanes cool? Yeah, to some extent.
Is the idea behind it great? Definitely
Is the MP feature a plus? Undoubtedly
Is the game playable? Nah, it's testing.
Why?
No "Restart Mission" button.
Wobbly airplanes
Building collapse is a joke ("♥♥♥♥ that- we ain't got time to polish that - show me the money")
No details on ranking, barely any useful info on the subreddit or Discord channel.
MP - fly for 10 straight minutes with a lousy airplane, only to get nuked out of the sky
4 AGM missiles into a tank, not a scratch
And that is just scratching the surface.

To ask gamers to pay for what can basically be called product testing and then revel in the hype and Very Positive reviews as a success is basically deception.

Wait until it becomes $1 or free to try it out.

{{Update}

After almost 1 year, I'm glad to see Techland's commitment to improve the game. And they really have. I follow Techland on LinkedIn, FB and email subscriptions. I digest info quickly when they publish something.
I started to play the game again. I can't commit too many hours per week due to family life. But that's one of the main points of a game for me. I don't have enough time for gaming anymore. I've been gaming since 1998. We are talking about thousands of hours. I want a game that I can invest quality time into.
I'm happy to say that Techland has improved the game considerably. I now enjoy coming back to the game, spending a few hours once in a while. I enjoy doing side quests a lot and it's a really nice surprise to see that there is no shortage of them. The fear effect is now present and kicking.
Plenty of open space and reasons to be at ground level as opposed to 1 year ago. The new zombies skins (thanks Techland for listening to the community) and texture improvements overall are a breath of fresh air. It feels more immersive. Having guns is a massive relief. I still enjoy the multitude of slash/cut weapons but I like to think that in the heat of the fight or when cornered, I can rely on a rifle.

Look, it's not a perfect game and I don't believe in perfection. But by God, Techland is good at taking feedback and improving. The fact that one of the Devs reached out to me directly, that's a BIG plus from me.

Buy the game and enjoy it. The Dying Light series is still the best zombie game I ever played.
Well done Techland! Keep it up!

Summary:
While I was super-hyped about DL2, considering the success of DL1, I abstained from having high expectations as more AAA games in the past years failed short of expectations. I was curious about the decision tree model (was hoping for a more Mass Effect approach) but was genuinely not impressed with it. I played a few hours after launch, paused it for a few months and then jumped back into it, fully committed. The weapon mods are cool and have a plethora of features (maybe too much for my liking - starting to feel like that horrendous inventory menu from Mass Effect Andromeda) but unable to repair them and having to wait until mid-game to access a powerful weapon, no guns- is a bit of a downer. Chopping and all that is fun up to a point. Clothes - waaaaaayyyy too many. This isn`t Skyrim or a MMORPG but it sure tries to be one when it comes to clothes. This is a zombie apocalypse. Ain`t no nobody got time for +1.5% on gloves and s**t. The idea of having unique clothing pieces with unique specs, but then you can all suddenly cover all of them with a default skin - like what`s the point? Roofs only - here I feel the pain of other players. What`s the point of even going on the ground, unless you want to farm? In the Central Loop - going on the ground feels like a trap, going on the buildings feels like you are missing a lot. The sensation of open world diminishes in the Central Loop massively. Storyline - absolutely no sense. After about 40hrs into it, I can`t help but wonder - who am I and what am I supposed to do in this game? Who are all these people that randomly have issues with each other? It feels like there an excessive number of factions and inconsistent stories. When I came across the Agent and Harper missions I really felt the devs disappointment (add more stuff for the sake of adding). Mechanics - updates still required. The zombies falling of the edges or when struck with a massive hammer are far from realistic. Meshes and textures - clearly some were brought forward from DL1 and just added with an ageing affect on them. But the texture quality is very poor and highlights the unfinished product effect. Zombies - I get the idea of copy+paste but there is a significant visual gap between DL1 and DL2 zombies. Facial textures are quite poor in DL2 and I can`t tell if these zombies are from The Dark Ages but everyone else around has really cool and customised clothing. How old are these zombies? 600 years? What really grinds my gears? That gigantic waypoint marker that doesn`t adjust size to map zoom. Combat - some nice features to it but I`m still baffled by the mechanic of losing health when I`m drop kicking zombies or sometimes just brushing into them. Super-annoying. Inhibitors and Skills - like having to work for Parkour and Combat XP wasn`t enough, now you need to find ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of inhibitors - thank God for the famous Co-Op glitch! I think the Inhibitor is a massive drawback. Feels like something stuck between teeth you just need getting out of the way of pleasure. Overall - a 6/10. The fun factor is not there yet. And the visuals need a revisit. Big thumbs up for the Devs and the community as they poured massive amount of work. Shame that management direction affected game. Like who invests in a new HQ in Poland and then -surprise, surprise-you need to delay launch and hire new people...

HZD + DLC is an amazing and immersive game. The storyline and gameplay are like non-other and a breath of fresh air among all other titles. I completed the game on Hard as I wanted to enjoy it`s challenges. The environment and machines are breathtaking. I enjoyed every hour of the game and I`m genuinely eager for the movie adaptation.

I was genuinely excited with a hint of doubt when I heard a new CoD-MW2 was being released. I usually hesitate to buy early access until more reviews become available. I decided to gamble with this one. Boy, was I wrong to trust the marketing campaign. It`s 2022, we got VR, closer and closer to fusion power, new planned NASA missions for the Moon and Mars but Activision still doesn`t make Special Ops games where you can shoot out a freaking light bulb. It`s a shooter, night missions, NVG, etc but I still have to walk under a fully illuminated hallway. This is gaming with Hollywood marketing and poor quality. I almost lost my s**t when during the Amsterdam mission, I was able to throw knives at enemies from under the water. What is this c**p? AAA gaming? It`s AAA marketing, with BBB quality. I`ve already requested a refund. A genuine slap in the face for the previous MW. Guess the heavy titles need milking when there are no more original ideas...

3rd run on this amazing game.
There is something about it that makes you want to come back.
Whether the community, the DLCs, the gameplay, mechanics, whatever. For me it was the environment. A lot of effort was put into the textures, lighting, sound, etc. Put on your headset, turn off the light, then head out to Old Town. Watch the sunset and then get ready for horror. The rain, the poor visibility, the chase.
Can it feel repetitive? Show me a game that isn`t if you do a 5-7 hour run in one go :D
