I do enjoy this game, but recently my save files were corrupted for playthrough where I'm making a run at all the achievements. I was stuck with the infinite loading glitch and after verifying my game files and going back in I see that the last ~20 hours in game has vanished. ♥♥♥♥ Bethesda and ♥♥♥♥ this game

This DLC is arguably better than the base game. It goes back to the roots of fallout and gives you much more freedom in the way you interact with factions. SPOILERS: You can destroy all 3 of the islanfs main factions, or leave all of them be. Besides killing monsters and raiders, it is very possible to go through this DLC passively, which adds to the role playing element the base game was lacking. If you want to kill all 3 factions, you can do so as well. The new unique weapons and armor are much better than the base game. The marine combat armour is definitley one of the best armors in the game and looks amazing too. There could have been more enemies. Gulpers, anglers, and fog crawlers were cool, but the trappers were glorified raiders, and wolves are just dogs but slightly harder. It would have been nice if the radioactive fog was a little more threatening, but it offered enough emersion to where it was enjoyable. Old Longfellow, despite what people say, is an excellent companion. Very good in combat (unlike some companions), and well thought out personality. Back to the story, all of the main story characters all had emotions and motives which made picking a faction very thought provoking. Easily the most heartbreaking part of this DLC is Bethesda's failure to include some kind of underwater gameplay to such a water focused dlc.

PROS:
(+)Excellent story and characters
(+)Commonwealth tie-ins
(+)Uniques weapons and armor
(+)RPG elements
(+)Overall setting

CONS:
(-)Could use a few more unique enemies
(-)Lack of underwater elements
(-)Unthreatening fog
(-)"Biggest DLC Landmass"

CONCLUSION:
This DLC is definitley worth the price tag. It offers a compelling story, awesome new gear, and a return to better RPG elements and gameplay. 8.5/10

I hope you don't have anything to do in the morning, because it's already tomorrow night and your ass hasn't even hit the modern era yet.
