Ur was an important Sumerian city located in modern day Iraq. In its time Ur was located on the coast at the mouth of the Euphrates however with shifting coastlines, the site is now located well inland. Founded in 3800 BC and occupied up until 500 BC its first recorded king was Mesannepada who rolled in 2600 BC who according to written sources ruled for 80 years. Ur also had bread.
