Despite the breaks I've needed to take from this game ever once in awhile,

Despite the balancing changes which push or pull a little bit much in my opinion,

I can't deny that this game has hit in a way many haven't in a long, long time. Guns feel good to use and every kill registers in a euphoric way; and when you land a mighty stratagem call-down on a strategic point of interest or a massive encroaching wave of enemies, there's hardly a word that can describe the rush it brings me. I'll be happy to play this game into perpetuity if it lets me, though I will take my mandatory breaks from time to time- I have to let others spread some democracy as well.

PS: I was hesitant to get back into this game given the recent issues with Sony and PSN account linking- fortunately that was resolved now and I feel more confident playing this once more, and so I will.

With what 'little' time I've played, I can say this is one of my more preferred games of this genre.

Of course, as you play more and more, you find certain patterns and techniques which make it easier or outright just 'do this enough and you win', but up until then- and even during, it's still a fun trip on the way there.

The diversity of factions and races is impressive, and they're always adding more- the cost of DLC isn't wallet-breaking, either, which is nice; I might even invest into them in the near future.
Each faction has its own special attributes which differ their playstyles- but you are still able to play your own way to a certain degree, and it's just fun.

I haven't had much trouble performance-wise; especially once I actually got a good computer, aha. Just pay attention to the hardware requirements and you'll be fine there.

Anyway, yes, I would recommend this game!
Bonus if you can get it while it's discounted, of course.
