I love ARK, and ASE has given me more than 6000 Hours of great times memories and an adventure to behold.

So seeing ASA in this state makes me absolutely sad. The game is unoptimized as all hell, causing you to be not able to run it even on high end hardware to the extent that it should. Recent patches have helped, but there is still a long way to go.

The most glaring Issue that makes me warn EVERYBODY to not buy this game is because the Server Hosting is a Monopoly held by Nitrado, which is a company infamous for having a horrendous track record regarding server stability, pricing, and reliability. If you ever want to play with your friends on a rented server you will have to pay a unreasonable price for a horrible service. And if you ever think about putting in the work to host from your own machine, you can´t because Nitrado in their infinite wisdom and greed have disallowed everyone from doing so.
Unless this is changed, this game is doomed to fail and be abandoned and I can not with a clear conscience recommend a game that has been gutted and sabotaged by sheer corporate greed. Do not buy the game, and if you have already done so, don´t give a single dollar to the bastards at Nitrado. They are active at work to destroy what is otherwise a game with amazing promise.
