This is a game I've played for so many years as my main place to just chill and goof around in a way that I just cant get in most modern FPS games. It's an absolute masterpiece that is rendered absolutely UNPLAYABLE and has been for the past several years due to the abysmal bot crisis plaguing the casual experience. It leaves us players either spending enough time for a full match to be played just queuing and re queuing over and over again or to go join a community server where most of the time it's full of players who are trying to play much more seriously than I'd prefer.

This is destroying the new player experience and everything that I enjoyed about the game. Fantastic game in the past, but today it is a bad, forgotten, and decrepit shell of what it used to be.

Edit 7/22/24. Valve has recently made a big effort into seeking out and banning a significant amount of the bots. I have had the best time finding bot free matches in casual in several years. I am quite ecstatic that my favorite shooter is able to be played effortlessly and I hope it stays this way.
