Early Access Review
Its Early access so i can only give a review on what i paid for and in my honest opinion its a fun game to just set up a fight and watch it end. sure there isnt too many options and work is needed but atleast the AI is far superior to that of Atilla: Total war. The game is a one man development team so you have to take that into account, ive watche his youtube and i have been from the start extremely impressed. Sure the game isn't one where you play for hours on end just yet but given time you'll load it up and have tons to do. there are issues but again its in early access and there are gonna be bugs and issues here and there but they'll be fixed given time. I think that it would be wise purchase and to play every day or so when you're bored or something just to take your mind off things, and to appreciate the hardwork of what one man can do when large companies fail miserably with 100x or more funds.

the most notable issues currently are:
-AI targetting
-AI pathfinding- they blob up like total war: Rome 2
-AI combat animations
-Ranged AI just trying to shoot through the cliffs and walls- this could fall under the animations but it would be interesting to see archers arcing their shots
-Not a lot of control over the battle
-Some categories only have 1 unit or there isnt much variety
-"Block" unsure if this actually works as intended but i haven't tested fully
-Fighting as a soldier is farly tough
-Spearman's shield clips through

Positives:
-You have the ability to get nitty gritty and fight as a soldier
-You are able to customize soldiers to a degree making it possible to create a spartan god soldier
-Detail of soldiers and creatures
-Detail of the maps and buildings
-Soldiers fight atop the piles of fallen soldiers
-Constant work and updates
-Environment

suggestions:
-Ability to fully customize soldiers such as crests, colours, helmets
-Crusader units and more units in medieval such as:
-Crusaders from each chapter (Templar, Teutonics, Hospitallers)
-Crossbowmen(possibly Pavise corssbowmen)
-Halbermen/pikemen
-Heraldic knights
-Longbowmen
-Siege engines such as towers, ladders, rams
-More Antiquity units for Rome and Greece maybe even including the Macedonian Companions
-Ability of putting soldiers ontop of castle walls and towers with access points
-fully siegable castles
-More units for each category overall
-Maps
-Tools for allowing other users to create maps and maybe even character models
-More control over battles
-more ability in unit formations that they attempt to stick to for example - Pikemen form a pikewall and present a wall of pain to the enemy making it tougher to attack but allowing soldiers to try and filter through the pikes

These are just some suggestions for the developer but the possibilites are endless, and i really do hope he carries this on as it has the possibilty to outshine many of the well known games.

This game is truly amazing, now i know what you're its just someone took DayZ and Minecraft and created this well its better than them combined it goes into so much detail no matter where you look the developer has made sure this game is enjoyable and difficult.

I remember the first time i was starting out i died a few times but i quickly learned how to actually deal with the situation i was in,he has made sure you can't pull of tons of different tricks to escape the hordes of zombies, like in Minecraft build a 2 block nerdpole and the zombies can't touch you, trust me i tried that with a shopping basket didn't work almost died.

In this game there is no right way or wrong way to survive!

Go in loud or go in quietly, doesn't matter your luck will run dry and Death will eventually cath up with you!

This game is a huge improvement i remember playing the first and getting immediatley hooked on this series they pay huge amounts to detail and being able to recreat your own historic battles with the editor is amazing. If you have time to burn and are thinking of getting this game DO IT the missions are fun no matter the difficulty and the AI will punish you for mistakes no matter how big or small they'll find a way to. This game is on my top 5 at first place this will not disappoint you.
