Game is still in-development, but the quality of the non-Stardew aesthetic, NPCs and ability to alter the in-game speed is a big plus for this game.

NIce couch co-op

Nice idle game with enjoyable pixel art. Feels like Farmville, with unlocking better and better crops giving enjoyable constant progression.

Moving / Constructing buildings can't be cancelled till they are completed


** OLD Nitpickst that updates have FIXED **
When moving buildings, it does not allow you to "nudge" buildings (does not allow you to overlap the building with its current location)

Large buildings like Animal Feeder / Farm can't be deleted, but drones buildings can be.

Quick sessions with approachable difficulty.

Better with co-op

Not enough Rock & Stone! Hard to find games atm with quickplay not working most of the time, and playing solo has a really steep difficulty curve, since you drop all your equipment and upgrade materials on death.

Edited: Devs have improved matchmaking and its easier to find online matches now. Game can still be quite punishing with near one hit kills from automatons, but when you manage to coordinate your strategems, it can be rewarding to break through those heavy armour.

Casual Hotline Miami meets aerial gunship combat. Its an alright game, fun for a few hours. The pacing and gameplay loop fell apart for me towards the mid / late game (linear nature of upgrades and random encounters quickly grew stale).

Pros:
+ Lovely pixel art
+ Guns feel punchy and impactful.
+ Fast travel is very convenient.

Cons:
- Game progression falls apart / slows down drastically towards the middle to late game. Upgrading your guns by X%, or reduce reload speed by X% isn't quite so engaging compared to unlocking new guns for the first time.
- When reversing in the ship, the left and right movement keys move you in the opposite way than when you're moving forward. That's correct and all, but once your reversal momentum stops, the abrupt transition makes reversing very clumsy. I have to consciously tap forward after reversing, and it sometimes doesn't prevent this 'switching' jerk

Nitpicks
- Sometimes melee enemies get stuck between breakable terrain (rocks, wood blocks). It breaks immersion and I just take the easy way of shooting pot shots at them.
- Sometimes when I grapple the back of my ship while its moving, I get launched away and end up having to resort to recalling with the moth.

Great potential. Can't wait for full release and more customisation!

Great PVE co-op with friends and strangers. Deep Rock Galactic offers a ton of customization (both cosmetic and weapon build viability) as you get to blast alien insects, rival robots and allies.

Plenty of explosions and visually distinct caves from the random generation and biomes. Devs offer free battle passes and frequent updates, events and cosmetics. I especially love the laser pointer and rock and stone emote! For Karrll!
