Stardew-esque but much simpler. I spammed this game for a week maybe but then I got a little bored. Maybe I just needed to explore a bit more? For a while I didn't even realize that there were other areas I could visit outside of the main map, but I didn't really feel the need to.

I still would recommend it for anyone who likes these types of sim games, it's kind of like a mix of farming/restaurant/hotel sim. I just wish that there was maybe a bit more direction in story or something. I played until I unlocked the entire skill tree and recipes, but by then I wasn't really sure what the end goal was.

I know it's in early access, and the game did feel pretty bare bones but I like the concept. There were maybe 2 major updates since I've last played but I'll probably replay it again soon because I do like it and I'm excited to see how it improves.

Way too involved right out of the gate. It's hard to get invested in any activity when making a simple table and chair for your empty bar room requires gathering and refining a multitude of resources. It's almost as if the dev of this game assumes you've played another game they have made and you already understand how the systems nest into each other.

Not that complexity is a bad thing, but players need to have an unobscured path to a basic foundation of the games concepts before they start overlapping. This game hardly let's you get through the first 2m before throwing layered mechanics at you.

The research system is poorly explained. The acquisition method for each, I'm not sure was explained at all. Placing workstations in the middle of your property outside with no agency for where the benches sit within that area makes really unpleasant base aesthetics.

But most of all, the mini-game of running the bar gets old *incredibly fast.* It requires -all- your attention and is very shallow. You cannot progress the game without doing it. Hiring a barkeep needs to be one of the very first things you do, imo.

Game is in Early Access so there is hope for it but if you were hoping for a more involved version of Stardew Valley, then hold off. This game misses the mark.

This feels like a 10/10 school project. It's well made, few bugs, nice aesthetics, however, it lacks any sense of game design.

It starts off with a bunch of instructions popping up every second in your screen, making it hard to begin enjoying it. I feel like by the time I was finally able to move more or less freely around the map, I was too saturated to want to do anything other than just serve beers, which becomes boring after a while.

So do not make the same mistake as me and think that this is a cozy heartwarming farming simultator such as Stardew Valley . It is a management simulator, with lots of micromanagement, world exploring, quests, crafting, trading, grinding and there is barely any time left to actually be in your tavern without sacrificing resource production/collection. The world doesn't feel as alive and immersive as it should considering you spend a lot of time moving around it. Progress feels overwhelming and empty and honestly I just couldn't find enough motivation to improve my tavern because collecting items for recipes or furniture feels more like a chore rather than an achievement.

I might give it another shot in the future because I do love management games and the idea of owning a tavern caught my attention in the first place. But I feel like right now, it's more about the grinding, with no real purpose or reward system.
