Me 10 minutes in: What the hell is even that?!?!?

Me 5 hours in: The flesh cubes with legs are kinda cute.

What a breath of fresh air

Less of the horror from RE7 and more of an emphasis on action and thrill. Game delivers extremely well on what its trying to do; very fun levels and plays well to the genre.

First off, this is another time I wish steam had a 'neutral' option. I'm the type of person who has very sensitive motion sickness to games like dead space or metro where the FOV is limited or there is head bob involved. Less than an hour of playing will leave me feeling really sick for more than an hour usually and much to my disappointment this game triggers my motion sickness. I wasn't able to play for more than 40 minutes and I had to lay down for a little over an hour. This is not the games fault necessarily, and what I did get to play was pretty fun. I wanted to leave this review just for people who, like me, are really sensitive to motion sickness; If you don't have a history of MS i would suggest the game from what I played.

So if you dont know, this is a game that pulled most of its assets and mechanics from a dead MOBA called Paragon that died during its development a couple years ago. For this reason, Fault is very much rough around the edges in many departments such as optimization, animations, balance, and bugs. This is an early access title, but is in its alpha and I would say, even in its current state, calling it an alpha is fair. As of now its too early to say if the game is good or bad yet as the devs haven't had time to prove themselves yet. I do recognize the deep care they have taken already getting it to even this playable state and for that reason it gets a thumbs up. Fault has a lot of unique features and heroes that makes it a lot of fun to play, even through the alpha state the game is in. Give the game time. If your familiar with MOBAs and want to give this one a try just start with the base version and if you like the ideas and potential future the game has then consider the DLC as additional content and a way to support the development.
