Early Access Review
I've only played for about 3 hours as of writing this review, and honestly? I'm having a blast. I was a bit rough at first (as I had only played the original Outlast once when I got it on sale months ago), but I started to really get a feeling for it after the second level or so. I was a bit worried multiple levels taking place in the same location would get stale, but so far they've felt large enough and change from Trial to Trial that it isn't really an issue. Seeing things in my character menu with a money symbol initially scared me, thinking there would be microtransactions in a $30, Early Access game, but I was wrong, thankfully. The money system in game feels fair. Here's to hoping they don't change that.

I'll update my review if I find anything else worth noting after I play more. But for now, I'm having a blast, especially in co-op.

The Half-Life and Portal crossover I didn't know I needed.

As someone who played a good amount of the original 2013 game, this one was a real treat. More than double the endings, lots of fun metanarrative stuff, and feels accessible to both people who were diehard fans, or who have never heard of a Stanley in their life.

Play it.

Probably one of my absolute favorite games of all time. Fun as hell, especially when raiding with friends, tons of incredibly rich and interesting lore, well-done storytelling, and so much more. Only complaint is how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the new player experience is (at the time of writing this). To all new players: I promise this game gets much better when you get into the expansions and seasons.

Pretty good so far, but it has a couple bugs (ex: I managed to cheat death because the spell menu was still open on the game over screen), although Ed's blog post confirms he's aware of them. Can't wait to play this more!

After 5 years and 2.4M$, the game's outcome was everything I had expected, and felt EXACTLY like the comic in terms of the writing and sense of humor (along with many refrences)

Pros:
- The writing is very clever and humorous, and almost all interactions between items (no matter how strange) have text associated with them
- The backgrounds and scenery are very well made, with tons of detail put into every inch
- Even though the game takes place in a well-established universe, most pre-existing things are explained to the player without interrupting the game, making the game accessable to people unfamiliar with the story.
- Players who have read the webcomic will see tons of small details refrencing pre-existing concepts from the comic
- Incredibly upbeat and original music by James Roach and Toby Fox (yes, the Toby who made Undertale)

Cons:
- Minor bugs and glitches here and there, such as display issues, audio glitches, etc.
- Cutscenes look a little crude in some shots
- Camera angle changes drasticially sometimes when going from one side of a room to another, and can be a little disorienting
- Minor spelling/grammatical errors here and there
- Pogs
- Bubsy

Things to Note:
- If you haven't read Homestuck and are looking in buying this game, don't worry, the two have completely seperate stories that don't coincide with eachother. If you want to read Homestuck before playing, you probably won't be buying this for the next few months (8,000+ pages and 4 hours worth of video is a lot!)
- This is only the 1st of 4 acts, so don't expect a complete game
- There is very little choice in this game, don't expect this to be like a TellTale game
