First I would like to say I LOVE Jurassic Park. While other kids where playing with light sabers, I was playing with dinosaurs. This is my thing! I was so pumped! But after playing for a couple days I was pretty let down... But we need more dinosaur games so I won't give a thumbs down but I'll list what I've found annoying.

The game's graphics are of course, awesome. The ai for NPC's and Dino's is great, nothing has gotten stuck or glitched. Voice clips are great and easy to follow. But, if you want a game where you can decorate your park, have a relaxed progression, or do not wish to micro manage.. Leave now. You do not get everything in sandbox unless you unlock it through challenges and you will have to micro manage most everything.

I'll try not to waste time and keep it to complaints I think would be helpful.

- It's obvious that the creators tried to lengthen the play time by forcing you to micro manage things, but it's done to an extreme that isn't fun.

- I don't mind waiting on things, but the speed up button will become your best friend. I love watching my dino's, but at the same time there's to much to do for me to sit around smelling the roses. So I miss out on watching my creatures and instead just see them all zip around unnaturally fast just so I can collect fossils.

- After the first Jurassic World game, we asked for decorations! And this time around we did get... a couple. all the decorations are tiny and look alike, there are only about 20 to choose from (mostly the same flag a different color), their barely worth using unless you want the exact same thing everywhere. Enclosures are kinda the same. You get a brush that adds trees, shrubs, and water.. but you can't actually choose where anything but rocks and water go. The paint brush circle thing is also much to big even on it's smallest setting. Not much wiggle room for creativity, and that's one of my favorite parts.

- Money is also a HUGE issue in challenge modes. I've never had much trouble in the past amassing money in games like this, but they actively keep you on your toes. It's an interesting thing, I don't hate the idea... But I went from making millions a minute to being so far in the red that, after 8 hours of play, it force quite the challenge telling me I failed. I had near zero time to try and sell, repair, or just process what happened. This happens way way waaaay to much. One storm late game could ruin your entire run through for no real reason. There is no challenge when things are out of your control and it auto fails you quickly.

- Scientists... Again, I don't mind the idea behind it and I wouldn't mind fiddling with their skill points more but... it's just not all that fun to deal with them. The starting 3 you get aren't usually all that great. But to get more you must research, which is fine! Till you realize you're forced to waste your new points on your less then good scientists (or fire one and hope for a better replacement). You do not get a lot of ways to increase their skills. If you want anything in the game or need to finish an objective quickly for challenge mode, you better hope they have enough points or you just have to sit there waiting, fail, or start over. Most can also only do a few tasks before they need to take an expensive work free rest too. Not a HUGE problem, as I'm sure it's fun for some people to figure out the best way to use them, but kinda annoying enough to mention.

it is good but very much hard to learn, but once you get through that and get to tribal stage, then it is a breeze, it gets more political but its good, you can make vehicles, and stuff but really its up to you.

I'm not one for card games but I'll always make an exception for this game.
It's enchanting, beautiful, and simple enough for everyone to understand.

Now, I have played this game for a few hours here and there and I've messed around with stuff on a server and in single player so I think it's about time I review. The Servers themselves are...awful with lag. Whether it’s a 10 slot or 70 slot, whether it has 5 people or 50. The lag is terrible. Now, for the actual game play, it’s buggy as buttts and animals generally rubberband all over when you're trying to kill something. But, the idea is amazing, the potential is great, and if they update like Ark (Yes, Ark has spoiled us with how many updates they do) then in a couple months this game will be playable and amazing. As for the whole “This is like Ark in the early day” thing… Ark is not only a different game, but it was much more playable from day one then this one is right now. So do not go into this game thinking it’s going to be like the other game in ANY way. This game is fresh, new, exciting, and though it has problems.. I’m happy to see it take it’s baby steps so I can yell at noobs later when all the glitches are fixed saying “You don’t know the struggle, get gud noobs”. Oh, one last thing, the map is huge, and the struggle to get anywhere is real. I love it and hope to see much improvement over time!

So I'm about to hit my 1,750 hour time on this game and thought I should finally write a review for it.

I'll start by listing the Pro's and Con's on this wonderful game.

Pro's:
1. You get to tame and use dinosaurs as your personal army/work force.

2. You can build almost anyway you want, imagination is the limit in my opinion.

3. The biomes are amazing. (The noises in the swamp are my personal favorite~)

4. There are a lot of different dino's to search for and tame. Color, lvl, skills, and rarity all come into play while your hunting for your perfect companion.

5. Open world maps are always awesome.

6. Meeting other people in game can sometimes be hilarious. And even if your killed as a fresh spawn... it's really not that bad. It will take you 10 minutes to remake all the starting tools if that. (I once had a guy pick me up with a tara and sing to me, then dropped me to my death near a Rex. All in all a worthwhile experience.)

7. updates are frequent and if an update causes problems it's usually dealt with within a day or so.

8. special holiday events are really neat especially for an early access game.

9. Unofficial servers are generally better then official server.... by a lot.

10. You can play this as normal Ark, PvP or PvE. Or you can look for communities that do RP or are all about building. There is a really broad spectrum of ways to play this game.

11. The devs are generally cool people. (But if you've been yelled at by thousands of people everyday for not having a perfect unfinished game... I would get grumpy at the community too.. )

12. Graphics are amazing imo.

Now for some Con's:
1. Asshats. Yes, you ALWAYS run into a few when playing a multi-player survival game. No one can really stop this, you just need to do research on what server your joining.

2. Top tier Tribes (also known as Alpha tribes.) I've heard people complain about them, and how they've been stomped and picked on... I've personally never had this happen when I was playing on serious servers.. and I've played on a lot of servers. But I have had this happen when playing on a goof-off PvP servers with 100x gather and tame speed. But really... what else would you expect.

3. Giga's... I hate them as much as the next girl and agree that they should be untamable and treated as a nice mini boss instead of a hellish death machine.

4. After a year of working with the community the Devs have finally stopped being so so so nice. Indeed, I would begin to hate mankind too if I got yelled at constantly over something I'm trying to create for people that isn't even done yet. Like really? Who wouldn't?

5.Dino damage nurfs. Yup. They have been nurfed. No more running around the island with a dino literally killing everything that crosses your path. Gone are the days of ZERO work to clear a meadow or river of all life forms. Giant carnivores are actually *kinda* a threat now... not! Jeez the people complaining about this sound like little girls to me. So you're dino's damage was nurfed... they can still have so much health is doesn't matter. Plus they do decent damage as is, put 10 points into it and be happy. And it IS a survival game.. It's just now you can't get your dino's so over powered that it's insane.

For those of you (like me) who have had your hard earned tames nurfed and they now suck a whole bunch compared to how they used to be, I feel for ya. But... I like it better this way. ACTUAL PvE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG who would have thought!!

6. Dino gather Nurf. Meh, this hasn't really affected me and if your just starting out you won't even notice. Grinding is part of a survival game.. though I wish there was a better way to make some of the smaller things... It will get mind numbing to actually craft stuff like gunpowder, sparkpowder, and narcs on a serious PvP server..

7. Some of the items we can craft are a little silly imo. I'm not so happy about the future tech, once you get to that point dino's are a little useless, except to look cool while you ride into battle with your army of auto turrets built to a Para or bronto.

8. Glitching or falling through the world. So.. I've had experience with this and it's pretty annoying. But, the game is unfinished. And I want someone to name a Finished game where you don't occasionally Glitch out or get stuck or lose something. Whats that? You can't? Yeah I know. It's a man made product. There are going to be a few small glitches that are super annoying and dumb. But's it's a game, and as a gamer you should be understanding of this.

9. Super computer needed to play? Meh, I have a good gaming computer and an older but still good graphics card. I can play it just fine at all good settings. Not epic but still good. You need to look up how this game runs on what kinda graphic cards or processors. This is something you should do for every game before you buy it. Look. Eeet. Up.

10. Official server.... Are crap. Stay away from them. Unofficial servers may be less populated sometimes and some may disappear from time to time but seriously worth trying to find one you like. I tried a couple official one's and I've never met such jerks in a game before. Plus the LAGGGGGG!!! DEAR GOD THE LAGGGGGGG!!!!! You hear people complain about it, But I've only ever seen bad lag on official servers or servers with over 60 people on them. Plus a lot of the bad stories you hear about stem from the official servers.

Aaaaand that wraps up my review. The game is pretty awesome and I do recommend it to anyone who has a love for Dinosaurs, Building, Hunting, and running for your life from a slew of blood thirsty predators.

10/10 imo

After playing the whole game through a few times I think I can safely give an accurate review on it.

You start out as a brand new lynx mama with her adorable cubs. The goal of the game is to get the kits to adulthood alive. Hunting is a little hard at first since they don't really go over what buttons do untill well after you've already figured them out. Hunting itself can get a little frustrating at times but it's still easy. The major threats to your kits are easy enough to handle and you'll probably get through the first gen in a couple hours on normal mode. After playing it over a few times I was bored and wished thay went a little more in depth with kit care. Maybe finding more burrows, being able to leave your kits places while you hunt, anything at all besides having them follow you while you hunt.

The natural disasters and strange happenings are pretty uncommon, I'm 7 gens in and have only seen wild fires so far, though I know more can happen.

Survival mode is much much harder then the normal mode. You shouldn't attempt it until you have a full understanding of where things spawn and how to hunt. I tried it after my 4th gen of keeping all kittens alive and wow did I get a punch to the gut when I started my new game in survivor mode. Almost lost 2 kits to starvation right off the bat and as soon as I was safe from that, a fox swooped in and grabbed one.... I didn't have the stam to chase it down so I sat and listened to the dying cries of my kitten..

Another great thing is even though its a short game, you get attached to your kits. It's was really sad when they all grew up..

All in all a good game but a short game.

8/10 imo
