The main draw here compared to other 4X games are the factions, which all feel very distinct from each other. The game is well designed but challenging and very customizable.

The expansions all add appreciable amounts of new content for veteran players, but are in no way necessary.

A perfect loot filled hack and slash adventure with a lot of well thought out quality of life improvements. Classes are fun and varied, with each of the four classes offering several distinct playstyles that you can mix and match.

Take control of one of three fighters with glaring character flaws as they ascend a big tower and become the demon murdering BAMF they were destined to be. RPG elements are kind of tacked on, it's all about combat here. Challenging combat especially with the bosses. The story is a late bloomer.

You'll never find another game quite like this one. Part brainbending puzzle game, part hyper-paced RPG, featuring a number of classes that all feel appreciably different and tons of areas offering diffent challenges. The mechanics are very original and mastery of them is oh so satisfying.

You can 100% this game in a half hour, but it's a very enjoyable half hour.
