Don't listen to everyone saying the game is unplayable with the performance issues. Yes there are performance issues, but they really aren't THAT bad, and the developer has already stated that they are making performance their top priority over the next few months. I am using a gaming laptop that is like 3 or 4 years old with just an old i7, 16gb RAM, and a mobile 2070. I have basically all settings at high with just motion blur (which I don't like anyways) and depth of field turned to low and the resolution scaling turned to auto. At 1080p I am getting 30+ fps on a medium city, and it goes into the 40s if I am zoomed in. On very old hardware. If I drop settings to low, I get 60+ fps. And it's a city builder, 30 fps is perfectly playable. Everyone saying they are running i9s and 4090s and are getting 10 fps are either: 1. lying, 2. have something wrong with their system, or 3. really messed up their settings.

As for the game itself, so far having a ton of fun. Missing some stuff from Cities Skylines 1, but considering that game had 8 years of patches and DLCs, I expected this on day 1. But with that being said, this game is already a huge improvement over the 1st game, and it's only going to get better with more patches and DLCs.

Played the game on the PS4 pro and can say this is a nice step up. I see several reviews with people saying its a bad port, has bad performance and crashes a lot. Now I can't say for sure what they are having issues with but I have not had a single issue so far. I am playing it on a 3 year old gaming laptop with a mobile GTX 1060 and a i7-7700hq. I can put all settings to max and get about 45-50 fps. Not 60 fps but considering my PC is older it is way better than I was expecting, and better than the ps4. If I dial a few of the settings back I can get 60 fps with no issues. So far no crashes and no major issues with stutters as others have had. It did take about 20 minutes to setup the shaders when I first started the game, and I have closed and restarted the game about a dozen times now to test and have not had to redo that step so far. Only issue I have had is getting g-sync to work correctly with it, though I suspect that is more of a driver issues than an issue with the game itself. As for the actual game, it is an amazing game, one of my top 3 games of all time, and I am really looking forward to having a reason to play through it again. Highly highly recommend

Despite it's flaws, this game is a lot of fun. For what is basically the price of a dinner out you can get countless hours of enjoyment out of this game. I have over a thousand and I still playing. Yes their are times where it has made me rage, but I can so without a doubt this is my all time favorite game. Highly recommend!
