Battlefield V was on sale for like 10 bucks so I bought it without hesitation.
I've been absent from the battlefield series since 2011 so here's a fresh look at Battlefield V:

Campaign:
While the campaign offers fresh and otherwise unknown perspectives of WWII, the singleplayer experience lacks depth. It's basically 5 "episodes" with a different protagonist in each one taking place in various fronts of WWII. It feels more like a tutorial rather than an actual story mode and if I'm not mistaken, BF 1 also had the same format. It can be fun for a while but the cinematic cutscenes and the stealth playstyle the campaign promotes most of the time ruins the fun imo and makes it feel like a knock-off Far Cry. FAR different approach in comparison with older story driven BF titles!

Multiplayer:

The multiplayer is actually very fun, which makes me believe that BF5 development was multiplayer-centered. Fun weapons, balanced progression, great character and weapon customization, classic BF mechanics. The only issue someone will definitely encounter are the hackers, 4 out of 5 games have hackers on both teams, using speedhacks, aimbot and ruining the experience but the solution is rather simple, don't play on DICE servers, play on community games and just like that *poof* hackers are gone.

Fallout 4 is a game that, while it improves upon many of the mechanics and gunplay of its predecessors, ultimately falls short in terms of story depth and the overall post-apocalyptic atmosphere. One area where Fallout 4 really shines is in its improved gameplay mechanics. The shooting mechanics have been greatly improved, making it a more satisfying and enjoyable experience to take down enemies. Additionally, the crafting system is more robust, allowing players to create a variety of weapons and gear to suit their playstyle. However, while the gameplay is solid, the story falls flat. The plot is fairly straightforward and lacks the depth and complexity of previous entries in the series. This is particularly disappointing given the rich lore and world-building of the Fallout universe.

Furthermore, the game's cartoonish visuals detract from the post-apocalyptic feel that was so integral to the earlier games. While the graphics are certainly impressive, they don't lend themselves well to creating a truly immersive atmosphere. Another issue is the one-dimensional nature of the factions in the game. Each faction feels like a caricature, lacking the nuance and depth that would make them feel like real organizations. This detracts from the player's ability to engage with the world and the characters within it.
Finally, many players have found that the game requires mods to truly be enjoyable. While mods can certainly add a lot of value to the game, it's disappointing that the vanilla experience isn't more compelling on its own.
Overall, while Fallout 4 has some impressive gameplay mechanics and visuals, it falls short in terms of story depth, atmosphere, and faction development. While it's certainly a fun game to play, it ultimately doesn't live up to the high bar set by its predecessors.
