Tails of Iron is a good game for those of you who like satisfying progress, simple story, with a good variety of weapons and armor to choose from. Start to finish, You feel connected to the main character in his quest to revive the fallen kingdom and vanquish their foes once and for all.

Every enemy you beat an enemy it feels like one step closer to avenging the family honor and restoring peace to the lands. A chop here, poke here, stab there and the body count starts to rise. With each new weapon and armor piece found, you feel stronger and more powerful.

The game play was satisfying once you got the hang of the mechanics. Knowing when to dodge and parry are important timing parts of the combat system. Although there was no magic, or weapons/armor with status effects. The armor at least had resistances to the enemies you faced.

There was a variety to weapons and armor to choose from, but most of the time you'll just stick with the ones that have the best stats and never revisit the older items. Some items had alternatives looks to them, adding some fun looking items to your characters look. Want to kill your foes in a chef's hat? why not? Want to bash skulls in with a candy cane? Go for it!

Overall the game is a solid and worth the play through. I would recommend this game. It is a decent edition to the library.
