Really cool idea hindered by terrible execution.

The controls and the UI have to be the worst part. For example, why the hell does pressing Esc. bring up the menu, but pressing Esc again after doesn't exit back to the game?

Navigation and clicking in general is a terrible experience. Sometimes I can click on my mines and other buildings, other times nothing I do works. Especially frustrating during the "sabotage" mechanic (which, by the way, had zero explanation and sets you back massively if you don't catch it quick), where I could not click on the buildings to click the "stop sabotage" button.

Mechanics are poorly explained, the tutorial didn't load on my first go and I was sitting there, wondering what I was supposed to do until the intro vid managed to load, after which it became unplayable as the game for some reason started eating up all 8GB of my vram. Seems to run fine after doing a computer restart, but I've never had this happen with any other game before. Finally I was able to watch this short video and figure out how shafts and elevators interacted and what needed to be done to proceed. Also unclear was exactly what the train brought.

But like I said, the worst is the UI. The top panel isn't colored, hovering over resources doesn't tell you what they are, which is something literally every other game does and which is critical for new players starting out. When I'm able to click on my production buildings, it's unclear exactly what's going on, and how to affect what is going on, e.g. in the cement factory. For some reason, left clicking in these windows also closes them, after which they need to be reopened, which is another unintuitive and obnoxious feature when trying to learn the game; this design goes against not just game design UI convention, but the general concept of windows... clicking within one window should not close that window unless it's on a clearly defined button.

The whole thing is just a clunky mess and incredibly frustrating to play. Which is a shame, I thought the graphics were OK and the idea was cool. I wanted to like it, but it needs a serious UI overhaul, because the current form is terrible to the point of being unplayable.

Early Access Review
The game itself is fun but can't recommend it until they fix the performance. I've got enthusiast-grade hardware (5800X3D + RTX 4080 + 32GB RAM) and can barely eke out 30fps average (with dips below) with sub-40% CPU/GPU utilization, and that's with AA turned down, foliage off, shadows on low. When top of the line hardware barely gives you a "cinematic" 24fps experience in your game - you know something's wrong.
