I'm all for getting rid of bots, but not if it comes at the cost of preventing long time fans and players from other countries from playing. The amount of hoops I have had to jump through to even try to play on ogrest has fizzled out the last of my interest in this game.

Main positives:
1. Gameplay is amazing
2. graphically stunning
3. Exploration reminds me of The Witcher and Skyrim in how theres always cool things packed in the world

Main Drawbacks:
1. Game is currently VERY unoptimized, runs okay in the open world but the city is bad. Like bad bad.

Adressing the the MTX controversy:
Yes, microtranscactions are annoying and set a bad precedent, however, literally everything in the microtranscation store is already part of the game for FREE.
1. That key to get out of jail that everyone keeps whining about? I found one from a merchant for dirt cheap within the first 30 minutes of the game.
2. The revive stones? You find the fragments to make them already by just playing the game.
3. The "paying to edit your character"? 10 k gold in game (for reference I made 10k gold within the first hour of the game from level 1 without even trying.)
I'm genuinely convinced capcom upper management just said they had to include some kind of microtranscations as a requirement and so they just decided to make the microtransactions useless as a formality.

Overall DD2 is a game with a ton of potential, but I would recommend waiting until capcom decides to get their ♥♥♥♥ together and fix the frame rate. Honestly the only thing marring the experience for me right now.

Honestly the first persona game I was fully able to finish. Great storytelling and characters and I think ATLUS really hit it out of the park with this remake. My only issues were:
-tartarus is pretty monotonous and tedious when you compare it to P5s unique encounters
-some old game design features are still present that I don't really love:

(mainly most of the social links most people are actually interested in being locked until almost the end of the game)

(Kind of going with that is that once you romance a character, because most of their s.links are so late there's no fun holiday scenes or dates with most of the main female crew, and it makes the romance feel a bit more shallow compared to P5)

(Also none of the main male cast not actually having a social link, just an odd sidequest
sequence)

- I think the hangout feature was nice but again, just felt weird that you could do these hangouts without even having a social link with the character and the separation felt a bit disjointed

Overall this is a great persona game to get into the series with IMO, and it only having 3 social stats instead of the usual 5 from P4 and P5 make stat maxing way more manageable and less overwhelming.

Every night I pray to to all the gods above that Andrew Wilson will let Bioware make something remotely as good as this again.

It's very rare that a co-op game does almost everything right, but tbh this game does
-fun as hell
-good progression
-a great balance of engaging gameplay and funny moments
play it. it ♥♥♥♥♥ hard.

I REALLY wanted this game to be good, I was super excited leading up to the release and the hype and then it came out and it's. . . boring. Gunplays definitely better than previous titles but after I "explored" like the game was hyped to be about, I found myself just running from point A to point B with little to no dialogue. No twists, no sense of mystery, not even really any banter to keep you engaged in the characters. Just "go find X at Y" while shooting the same piece of wildlife repeatedly for multiple hours. I hate saying this but it feels like release no mans sky with how bland and lifeless this game feels. The main story is serviceable but it really hasn't done anything to keep me actually wanting to play the game. I cannot recommend this game at its full price, maybe if its on sale for like 50% off in the future but this just doesn't do it for me as a full price AAA game.

I'll start by saying I have never really been a fan of CRPGs. I played DOS 2 for a while but never finished it. When I say If you like RPGs then you will like this, I mean that sincerely. It's insane to me that over the past decade the video games industry has gotten worse and worse, focusing on profit over quality, releasing unfinished games, poorly made in more than one way. Even the ones we've been hopeful for from fan favorites like CDPR and Bioware, all let downs in one way or another. Yes, Baldurs gate 3 is an anomaly, and yet anyone who says that Larians latest project shouldn't influence the future of not just RPGs but gaming as a whole, is both delusional and lazy. The game play is great, the voice acting is PHENOMENAL, the mocap is AMAZING, and the story, writing is FAR BEYOND anything released in the past 5 years and I'd even wager the past decade. Currently I think only 3 RPGs have ever provided the RPG experience of bringing me to both tears and laughter (Mass Effect Trilogy, The Withcer 3, and FFXIV: Endwalker) and made me truly fall in love with all of the characters. Baldurs Gate 3 has, in my opinion, surpassed even those with this love letter to RPG fans. Are there some complaints? Sure, but they are minor compared to the absolute SCOPE of this amazing world to get lost in. I would 100% recommend this game to literally anyone, even people who dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about RPGs for the story and adventure alone. I cannot fathom another game getting GOTY and again, even though this is just my opinion, it absolutely blows any other game released this year out of the water.

Was playing at launch and was very happy, made it to chapter 2 and took a break. Tried to get back into it a week ago and the game is literally unplayable. Crashes without fail within 5 minutes of gameplay/on startup. I have tried everything;
uninstall reinstall
update drivers
verify game files
optimize settings
monitor component temperatures etc.
It's not a hardware issue because I play numerous singleplayer games more demanding than this one and I have never ran into crashing this severe. Steam pricks won't even give me a refund because it falls outside the timeline despite the fact that I quite literally CANNOT play the game. Ridiculous I had such high hopes for this one too,

RTX 3080 Founders
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
64 gb RAM
game struggles to hold even 50 fps on high settings after the first patch. For reference I max out settings on most singleplayer games I play and can get at least a consistent 90 fps. EA I expected this from, but respawn has delivered some of my all time favorites including Fallen Order. It's a damn shame to see they released the game in this sorry state and all I can hope is that game publishers start learning from this, but since it's still happening after Cyberpunk 2077 I see thats a bit much to ask, Can't reccomend this game as of now. A fantastic game marred by technical issues. 7/10 due to the instability, 10/10 if it worked.

update: I will be requesting a refund for this game as it now crashes on startup without fail after hours of troubleshooting.

5/29/23 Update: After completing the game I can say that while the performance is still lackluster, Koboh is primarily the main area which this is noticeable. Nearly all other planets and areas ran smoothly around 90 fps, which is perfectly fine even though 144 would be ideal. The games story made up for the poor release for me and I'm glad I stuck with it. There are some annoyances with the gameplay however, specifically one boss fight later that is exponentially and honestly unreasonably harder than the rest of the entire game, including the final boss by a mile (if you finished the game you probably know who I'm referencing). Outside of a few poorly designed encounters (as well as overused unblockable spam from multiple enemies) my only real complaint was that they let the game release in this state in the first place. Still, if you can get past the performance hitches on Koboh and liked Fallen Order then I can almost guarantee you'll like Jedi Survivor.
