Arrowhead has proven time and time again that they don't understand the reason people are upset with their balancing decisions and the lack of new game play features. The Escalation of Freedom patch nerfs are the straw that broke the camels back and frankly I just don't care anymore. I wont be watching hell divers updates anymore, but I hope they figure it out someday.

TLDR; ♥♥♥♥ Chargers, ♥♥♥♥ Bile Titans, ♥♥♥♥ spewers.

This game is hot ♥♥♥♥. Playing on normal mode I lost the second mission because the enemy ship i was supposed to board was literally twice as fast as I was, and somehow the enemy captain knew exactly what I was there to do and ran and hid in the corner so I couldn't board him in time. I failed like 3 of the first 6 missions despite not losing anything more than an escort or 2 because the enemy ships (even bloody ORCS) are the most co-ordinated enemies i've ever seen. I talking impressive delaying actions, ambushes, spamming abilities left and right. The game has taught me like 1 ability and the enemy is hitting me with like 8. Ive given up after apparently loosing so bad in a story mission because a chaos ship was bey-blading around the objective doing like 3 times the damage I could do at the best of times to the objective and blew it up before I could stop them (like 12 enemies V 4 of my ships btw), and its forced me into a fail state where im now in chapter 2 with 1 cruiser to my name and im supposed to take on giant battle with like 4 side objectives I have to complete, where im outnumbered like 4 to 1. This game is a mess and should not be anywhere near this hard on normal mod.

This game was great and has good bones but AGS has continued to under deliver, break ♥♥♥♥ and generally make the game insanely unbalanced while the rich get richer and everyone else suffers. Huh.... just like amazon. I wonder if thats a coincidence.

This game is top tier. If you're at all interested in ground, rotary or fixed wing aviation find a unit that appeals to you (and isn't toxic) and I promise you'll have a blast. Everything from WW2, Vietnam, modern, to Halo, and Star wars is ready and waiting for you to experience it.

This game is one of those games where I looked at it years ago and thought "Meh, I dont think this is for me" when it was in alpha. Now I took the dive and bought it during the steam summer sale and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I wish I had bought it years ago. The depth, the complexity, and the satisfaction you get from beating a truly difficult and maybe hard to understand fight is god teir. Everything feels balanced, everything feels like it has a place. And my god the heartbreak of losing one of your main guys hurts, and seeing your level 1 dude you pulled out of his farming shed to go fight managing to hold off a choke point with nothing but a spear and a dream is just amazing. 8/10 amazing game.

Early Access Review
This game is what every "Early access game" should aim to be. Content rich, stable, fun and engaging, solo or with friends, online or off.

Pros-
-Excellent customization
-Fun variety in classes, each bringing unique attributes to the group with different weapons, support options, and gear for each job.
-Feature rich, full of things to do that will keep you engaged for 40+ hours easily, and more still coming!
-engaging "Home base area" with several mini games and a full "Bar" where you can get drunk, and even buy special brews that give you in game buffs! The home base area is even available seemlessly with a group, so you and your 3 buddies each have a pod and you can gear up and drink and dance together while deciding what mission to take.
- fun and creative achievements. You will be amazed. There are achievements for ridding on your "M.U.L.E" partner, and other flora and fauna, finding rare enemies and resources. More than a few are very challenging, but very rewarding to get.
-Great intuative Co-Op play, or solo play. You can host a public game letting players drop in and out with you, or private with just your friends. The game offers lots of ways to combine your skills and abillities, like using the enigneer's platform gun to shoot a platform high up to reach resources in a hard to reach location, and having a scout repel up with his grapple gun to harvest the resources. Even still, playing solo is no shame, because they give you a tiny adorable little robot named BOSCO who will defend and revive you, and you can even upgrade him to blow your foes to bits with rockets and mine those precious minerals even faster.
-Fun and exciting swarms, even on lower difficulties. The beat drops, the games amazing music kicks in and you dig in and defend as a horde of angry critters come scurrying at you with murderous intent. Nothing feels more badass than mowing down hordes of aliens or "tactically retreating" (shut up Karl, I wasn't running away) while the beat drops as you unleash a storm of pain with all the tools at your disposal.

Cons-
Limited game modes- With only "Point extraction", "Mining", "Egg Hunt" "Salvage" and "Exterminate" missions available, things can get a bit repetitive as time goes on. Most of the time im more excited about maximizing my score and mining the most stuff I can or interesing things that happen in the middle of the game more than what I was actually supposed to do.A pretty small con to be sure, as there is still plenty of stuff to do.
Enemy Variety- I think this is where the game suffers the most in my opinion. Most enemies fall into the 2 categories of "Hangs back either flying or hanging off the ceelings and shoots things at you" or "Rushes you like a maniac and sties to maul you". There are some modifications to this, but after about 40-50 hours its pretty rare to see anything that surprises you (the big exception to this is the BET-C. you'll know him when you see him). I was really sad that the Dreadnoughts are mostly just "Big Praetorian's" with an extra health bar and a ranged attack with a further reach, but don't get me wrong, they will bloody chew you up good and proper. Its more than enough variety for the most part, and I hope that maybe i'm just missing some things, but I find myself wishing I would see something new that makes me say "OH SH-T"

Tldr- Amazing game that delivers on all its promises. Amazing music, great art style and fun mechanics. I just wish there were a few more mission types and enemies, but its hard to really complain about and early access game of this kind of quality, and I plan to be around when more content comes out for the game!

(P.S.- I think I actually convinced my GF to play a video game with me with this game! A+ to Deep Rock galactic! Rock and Stone brother!)

EDIT: It now freezes every 20 minutes. 3 times in a row. Completely unplayable 3 hours into my game.

Everything I have managed to play of this game is great and loads of fun. Except I cant play the damn thing very much because it crashes. I've been trying to just play the game I had a really good starting location but then, before i even got the first weapons, it just crashes. it crashed twice on me during the tutorial so I gave up and just played a normal game for a while but that crashed. This game looks REALLY fun but I can't seem to play for more than an hour.

This game is fun until you run into a single enemy. The infected gangers. They have some broken ass LMG that you can't beat. I just lost a mission where 4 of them just sprayed bullets at the guy I was supposed to protect from like 15 squares away, Taking him from 4 armor and 20 HP to dead in just one turn. Like WTF! They make cover completely pointless and there are for to many of them. Since most of the time in this game you have like a 40% chance to hit they just fire 6 times in a cone and will take out all of someone's armor and start into their health WITH JUST ONE. And in a side mission they threw about 10 of them at me along with melee guys and dogs, so I fell back and took most of them out. Then after they have been in almost the same spots for 2 turns shooting at my guys on the last turn they just light up the mage and boom I lose on the last turn because magic. Other than that I really like this game, although overwatch is a must, I cant beleive that isnt in there. The defence missions are nearly impossible without it. Please fix the bloody gangers. They work fine if their are just a few of them but you put far to many of them in the game. Guys with LMG's are supposed to be "support" not the entire force.
