Sony has caved to the outrage and thus the review returns to a recommendation.

Owlcat did a commendable job of adapting the atmosphere of 40k. The music is great (maybe a bit repetitive), art is solid. The story is solid, in the prologue, act 1-2. Mixed feelings about act 3. Can't say anything beyond that as a bug blocked my path in act 4. Which brings me to one of the reason why i can't recommend it at this time, bugs and a few nasty ones that that. Other reasons are the game has bits where it seems unfinished, which the first dlc looks to something that was supposed to be here on launch. But the devs have decided on the Paradox style of development, since a great deal was cut and they are open to the idea of adding it if sales are good. So if you are ok with part of a game now and want to support the potential of getting the rest at a latter date, buy the game now. If you want a properly working game with at least some of what the game should have, wait a year.

Update: Immortal Empires "beta" is up and its looking pretty great. Still don't condone how it was released.

Going in I thought it would be fun, only to find that vassals can only be made through diplomacy. You could go the long route and claim and release, but that is not what I thought it would be. I do not recommend getting this expansion, when the core feature is not what it should be.

Once again jagex has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and due to a complete lack of any customer support, we riot in game, yell at them on social media and post negative reviews. This game does not have new players only returning ones, we're all you got jagex.

New review to reflect my thoughts and feelings about the game. The game is usually fun, but some major issues are how Paradox develops the game. Chief has been changes in Overlord, so with the pricing model and bad game changes I no longer recommend the game. Paradox games are very expensive with the dlc development model, so your money would be must better spent elsewhere.
