Hi, I'm Ash and I have been gaming for over 30 years on various computers plus a few consoles.

Life is Strange (LiS) :LIS_butterfly:
Without question the best game I have ever played.
Its stunningly beautiful, emotionally involving, has a fantastic soundtrack and superb voice acting. The story is about friendship: how far would you go, how much of the world would you rip apart to fix things for a special person.. your best friend.

I also loved the prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The bonus “Farewell” episode is utterly stunning and I think essential playing if you’re a fan of Life is Strange.

I’m also very much looking forward to Life is Strange 2. Having already met one of the characters, Chris ( in Captain Spirit), I know it’s going to be amazing.

I'm becoming a fan of survival horror games (think Outlast, Layers of Fear, Bendy) I like the goosebumps/jump scares. Brings back memories of watching scary movies on pirated VHS tapes when I was a kid :-)

Also like chilling out in an online blast with the classic Team Fortress 2 or a few non-steam games like Sauerbraten & Urban Terror. I still jump into Dying Light a lot too, running around finding ways to reduce the zombie population.

Me
I'm an aviation fan and love the experience of flying and being around aircraft.
Also a major geek (yes, I admit it)

I have a professional IT background and work for a small consultancy.

You can find me on twitter @hintonashley and sometimes lurking around the Life is Strange subreddit as well (AshHinton)

My wife and I have a black cat called Squeak, we would like to say we are cat owners but anyone who has a cat will tell you its the other way around.

Aaaaand if you’ve got this far, my computer/console history looks a little like this: Dragon 32, Comodore +4, Commodore 64, Commodore 128, Commodore Amiga 500, Commodore Amiga 1200, Various early-ish Mac’s including one I fitted my first dedicated 3D gaming card to, Mac G4, Mac G5, Mac Pro, quad core pentium PC of some kind with a GTX630 card, and finally what I use now: core i5 PC with a GTX 970. Mixed in that lot were also a Nintendo Wii & an Xbox 360. The PC’s ran Linux (moslty Ubuntu with various desktop environments) and then I finally decided to switch to Windows 10 last year. If you want to know how old I am, ask :-)

After playing some more I know I'm going to get those :-) meanwhile I'm not out of of Velen yet, deliberately as I'm enjoying side quests although I'll have to come back for some once I'm higher level. Every time I think of moving on I find another job (gotta earn that coin!) although I think its time to progress the main story - seems I'm taking a ship next..

The DLCs are the best in TW3 :steamhappy:.

Loving The Witcher 3 - plenty of going off the main plot to lots of distractions, hills to climb, monsters to slay and side quests to do. Got a feeling I’ll be playing this for a while and unless I get really bored I’ll probably get the DLCs too.

By the way if anyone followed me on the twit place I quit, because it’s now run by a twit (haha!) - it just got ugh and I was tired of not seeing stuff from people I followed & were following me because I wouldn’t sub for a blue tick. I’ll probably be more active again on steam - with no politics I promise.

Just started Oxenfree II, definitely getting vibes from the first game which of course we’d hope would happen :-) I know I’m going to enjoy this, it’s probably my most anticipated game in quite a while.
