One of the best ARPGs in the market for sure! Diverse character classes, interesting spells, a great storyline...and of course, LOOT! Tons and tons of loot! Also, it looks really, really good! What's not to love? Oh, and it also has full mod support! If, for some reason, you thought the regular game was not enough, there is a metric ton of fan content to keep you satisfied for a long time to come!

I also picked up the Ashes of Malmouth expansion, which simply gave me more of a good thing, and will be sure to get Forgotten Gods when it comes out!

Edit: Picked up the Forgotten Gods DLC and was beyond impressed. I really like the added story content, as well as the new endgame system in the "Shattered Realm". If you haven't picked up this game yet...what exactly are you waiting for? It is the perfect midpoint between the casual style of Diablo 3 and the overwhelming complexity of Path of Exile!

Edit #2: This is always the game I pick for the "Labour of Love" Steam Award and it's easy to see why. The developers continue to support the game with not only various patches for bug fixing, but also adding in new content. And the game (as well as its DLCs) have been out for a while. Moreover, it's not a subscription-based game, so there is absolutely no requirement for them to do so, but I'm so glad that they do!

Edit #3: So many years later and they still keep pumping out new content. This game is just amazing. P.S. Try out the Reign of Terror mod for it. It blows D2:R out of the water!
