As someone who is not Paul Rudd, I feel comfortable saying I didn't enjoy this game.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, excellent gameplay and level design.

This was a fun stand-alone Half-life 2 experience.
The new mechanics required a very different strategy than I was used to-turning off the flashlight to sneak past a zombie hordes!
The gravity gun kills using environmental objects was VERY Valve-like; in fact a lot of the gameplay was of Valve-quality.
I can't wait for a part-2 ...or 3?
If this is the quality you put forth in future games I will be first in line to play them.

The game is fun when it works. Still a lot of bugs that make it unplayable.

This is an incredibly fun game for only being $10. If you ever wished you could play CSGO in VR, then you need this game. If you ever wished you could teabag someone in real life in a game in real life, then you need this game.
Currently there is an offline mode with bots in both TDM and S&D, and an online mode with the same. The teams are 4v4 which makes S&D rounds short and sweet. Three map options right now and all are fun. I haven't wanted to play another map yet. Reloading and weapons handling is pretty realistic which adds to the immersion. The grenades are lack luster, but they're so hard to throw accurately it doesn't matter. The online community is small right now so expect to see familiar names. Everyone I've played with so far is both friendly and attractive.
In the warmup you can caress other players with your hands.

I really like playing TS3; I own most of the expansions. But I do not recommend someone getting this expansion over any other one.

I was disappointed with Island Paradise because the town that it comes with is very buggy and causes lagging and freezing. Online research points to sims in town getting stuck due to unroutable terrain. With the expansion being focused around ports and Island discovery, I was disappointed that the town built for this was so poorly designed and I have yet to access some of the content. The resort ownership is just as difficult because without knowing what the included town intended for it to look like, I don't know if I am using the content in the correct way.

There are some work-arounds to the freezing problem such as deleting and readding all the sims in the town, or downloading a custom island town but you lose the ability to discover islands. I feel that this is too much work just to enjoy an expansions content for a few game days until someone else gets stuck.

I feel that most of the content in this expansion could have been added to seasons, and the house boat ability be added to world adventures. Unless EA fixes the bugs, I will not recommend this game. Since TS4 is already out, I doubt they will ever be fixed.

Wonderfully recreation of Half-Life.
Think Half-Life with the engine of Half-Life 2. It's HL better than you remember; I felt like I was playing HL1 for the first time again.
It has the same story as HL1 but beyond that everything has been updated. New textures on EVERYTHING, new voice acting, new scripted events, new ENGINE.
The new textures make gameplay more immersive and the people look more like, well, people. The bullsquid is incredibly terrifying now. The voice acting has been redone and some new dialogue can be heard, especially from the new female scientists (I guess the EO complaints finally caught up with Lambda.)
There are new scripted events for enemy intros that really show off all the work the Crowbar Collective has put into this game. Most levels have been modified in small ways to use puzzle mechanics from 2HL2. Anyone who is a fan of the HL series will enjoy playing game as we wait for the next installmant in the HL franchise.
Pros:
-New Engine!
-HL2 mechanics-set enemies on fire, throw back grenades, crawling zombies
-New textures for EVERYTHING
-Voice acting redone and more dialogue from NPCs, female scientists.
-New enemy intros, attack styles, and sounds
-Most levels updated to feature puzzle mechanics from HL2
-Amazing gameplay!

Cons:
-As of writing this the entire game has not been completed yet; Xen levels not released.
-Some of the levels have ledges big enough to walk around/skip fights i.e. Surface Tension
-On the level "Surface Tension" if you travel to the sublevel 'Ordnance Exterior', leave and return you can be stuck in a loop of gameover explosions. Can set you back if you don't save.
-Enemy AI seems more like NPCs always know where you are even-through walls. i.e. Tanks and Helicopters are always aimed and shooting at you even inside buildings.
