GAME FOR THE NO-LIFE

Best flamethrower i've seen in video-games (+ you can bayonet charges, best game ever ?)

This is one of the best game I've ever played.

Even with the bugs, the unbalanced units, and the multiple non-existant content that should be coming along the way, this game is still absolutely marvelous.

It's an entire new style of game.
Same attention to detail, beauty, immersion that Kingdom Come Deliverance has, but with a city builder game.
Same relaxed and fun ambiance, with still some challenge, that you could get in a Stronghold game, but with a much more realistic and organic building system.
Same tactical complexity and brutality than in a Total War Game, but with much more realistic types of battles, with men that you do NOT want to lose, because at the end of the day, they are your citizens !

It really is a great game, but don't compare it, it's unique. If you like city builders, immersive and realistic medieval games, if you want to play a relaxing or challenging strategic game (or maybe both) and if you're ok with somes bugs, for now, then take this fine art game. The dev is a genius and is very honest, I really think he deserves some support :D

Keep it up at your own rythm dev, you're killing it.

Devs did not let this game die ! Updates are still coming 6 years after launch, and game is great, a lot of things to do. At least 30 hours of fun gameplay with weapons and gadgets to discover. And way more if you want to settle and do some factories or some random testing.

Really worth it !

Really great game, extremely addictive, especially if you have two friends to play with ! A savant mix of old batlefields, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch adding new gameplay mechanics.

Goods :
- 95% of the environement is destructible. It's nearly more than in old times battlefields !
- Gameplay is great and unique
- Visuals are good, the game is beautiful but not too much to handle for mid tier gaming PCs
- Voice-overs are great and the whole atmosphere is perfect, between competition and fun.
- You can do parcour (!!!) while fighting enemies. Extremely cool.

Bads :
- NEW bugs, lags, and crashes, that were not there in the Beta... servers seems to struggle, too many people are playing lol
- Playing alone, you may be launched into matches that are nearly finished, so you get loading screens for nothing... pretty frustrating, hope they fix that. + a lot of people don't understand that the game is not really about fights, but more about winning time, and actually playing the objective ! So yeah, find two friends or even randoms dudes in vocal ahah
- All the weapons, and even classes, are not really balanced yet. Some weapons seems useless (the sledgehammer for example) and the light class seems underpowered nearly all the time BUT is a bit op with melee weapons... We'll see what it becomes ! But still, the game just launched, so having a not perfect balance is ok.


CONCLUSION : Don't play the game if you want to keep your job, your wife, your good habits, your health, your life, but if you choose to avoid it, beware, you are missing one of the greatest FPS ever. And it will certainly get even better (especially about servers and lag issues) Soon™ !

Context : I have 480 hours in RC 1. Firstly, I'll discuss my feelings about... this thing called RC2. And then, I'll put a precise list of the main problems. Please keep in mind that this is a sequel : a game that has 10 years old should NOT crush it's successor that easily in terms of content, quality, balance and fun...

It's really bad. Seriously. Devs, just bring back old robocraft (~2014) it was simpler, but funnier.

This one is just buggy, junky, overly complex for no more fun and destroy the liberty to build we had (having to place multiple guns, so you need to make place for them...). Now it's just "who has the biggest cube" simulator. Light vehicles don't have a purpose anymore. And the bit of FUN left is in exploits (pincers and walker bots CRUSH you 10 times more than being fired at lol)

The good parts are that you can build your own turrets (not guns, just turrets, sadly) and that we have a more advanced physic. But even that is bad, because physics ruin the game too. Yep, now you can get DESTROYED in an instant by a craft walking on you. And every match someone abuse that.

To make it simple :

- RC 2 is too confusing. Now, you can't know if something is tanky or not. Sometimes it'll break, sometimes it won't. And physics makes it even more random.

- No, "big bots" do not make you tanky. And that's a problem. I actually tried to make the biggest bot with hardest armor. And physics abusers destroyed me just by walking to me with little legs.

- No, flying is not like RC1. It's more fun that ground gameplay, but it's way less than it was on RC 2015. Controls are ♥♥♥♥, you can't fly high and we don't have electroplates to protect us without getting heavy, so we keep getting down and repairing.

- No RC 1 WAS NOT about just "big = ground" and "light = air". There was light bots on the ground and heavy planes. Now there's really just 2 kind of vehicle possible : big walkers (physics abuse) and light useless planes.

For RC 1, Just know that the community pirated the game and got it running on their own servers like in 2015 cause it was so good.

So YES physics COULD be amazing. But it's just not. This is not even a good demo.

One of the greatest games I've ever player. I did not even finished it yet.

Why ? Because it's like a fine wine, I'm appreciating it slowly.

If you search something unique, historicaly accurate (they litteraly hire a full time historian) and really immersive, with a good realistic story, and very vibrant atmosphere (a lot of PNJ talking to you, commenting your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or highly armored and classy look, for example) well, take this game !

a LOT of bugs (even just launching the game is a fight on it's own, and no, it's not my PC lagging...), really blend scenario, gunfights that doesn't looks like it's Battlefield anymore (more like call of duty maybe ?) and really ♥♥♥♥ map design. (some maps just looks like they are absolutely empty... no details like in BF 4 for example)

There are some cool things, like the new maps evolution (tornadoes are pretty cool even if it could be better), or the fact that you can slightly change your weapon during the fights, and the portal is a great idea. But yeah, it's the worst BF so far i think :/
Would not buy at more than 9 euros.

Devs did not have the time to make something great, so they rushed it.

UPDATE : le jeu est enfin la ou il devrait avoir été depuis sa sortie : Certains problèmes persistes mais on peut enfin créer son propre build dans le détail, et des centaines de possibilités sont désormais envisageables. De plus, les diverses armes se jouent maintenant très bien ! Elles sont mieux équilibrées et c'est donc davantage une question de skill que de la "bonne" arme.

Certains soucis sont cependant encore présents (comme l'optimisation) mais je peux désormais vous recommander vivement ce jeu !

Gaijin is comparable to a drug dealer : don't do drugs, don't do war thunder

(Grind is awful, balance is awful, lack of competition with other games makes devs greedy. This game only makes you loose sanity, time, and money, even if it could be the best game)


PS : I'm sober right now, no war thunder for a few month, one day at a time lol
