If you like the addicting game play of the original risk of rain, then this is very much the game for you. This remaster refines the first game along with bringing some additions from the second game into a fun and enjoyable single to co op experience. Remember kids, dying is part of the journey in this game!

A chillax game where you and maybe some buddies can manage a shop. (*you each run your own shop, but work together towards bigger projects and upgrades) Has a surprising amount of depth for what seems on the outset a facebook mobile game. It even keeps you active and does'nt say, hey now you gotta wait for -insert a certain amount of time here- to keep playing. (It still has long upgrade timers, but that's for the future of the business and not what you are doing at that very moment). Try it out, its free so you got nothing to lose.

Takes a little bit of a learning curve because of some control setups and the large amount of units. Its a great game to play and if you got podcasts, great to play to relax.
I dont do much ranked multiplayer, but great with friends when getting to uber endgame weapons. Try it out if you like Supreme Commander, its free so you cant go wrong, and there are mods.

Early Access Review
If you enjoy Risk of Rain 1, then you will absolutely enjoy this and more. And if you haven't played the first one, this game is still a gem to get and play. Even tho its in Early Access this game feels like a full experience and there is more to come. Very excited when we get to 1.0.

The one mmo I have been truly committed to. And with most games like this it is best to play with friends or other social gamers online. Even better if you are in a active clan, be warned tho, alot of this game is figuring out stuff on your own.

Introduction:
Mirror's Edge is a game made by DICE and produced by EA. The game costs 19.99 USD at the time of this review, whether the price of this great game goes down anymore is yet to be determined. Sales for this game can be pretty common and can bring this games price down to under 10$ so keep that in mind if you are penny pincher like me.

Gameplay: If you haven't already noticed from the trailers, videos, and screenshots that the store page shows. This game is first person oriented and will involve alot of running, jumping and punching. There are guns in this in which you can use against your enemies, but that would go against the very principle this game is trying to convey to its audience. Your main goal is to avoid conflict as much as possible and parkour your way out of your problem. Jump, duck, slide, wall run, zipline, these are all options you can have at your disposal when running through these missions. Although always taking the runner route is easier said and done because these enemies have some pretty good aim, and when you feel you must fight it can be a bit of a pain. Fighting is mostly an up close and personal matter, with enemies getting progressively tougher with armor as the game progresses. You can disarm your oppenents and take their weapons to use against others, but that would hamper your running abilities (Unless you steal a pistol). Your best bet when dealing with numerous contacts would be to out run and take them down one by one. Time consuming, yes, but it will make you feel much more accomplished. The feeling of running is exhilarating and is the best feature of this game, and solving the levels "Platforming" will be the best rush you can get. Especially when it means running away from baddies.

Graphics: This game is pretty dated, all things considered. It was made in the early era of the PS3 and Xbox 360 era, and it still holds up pretty well. The city you run through looks pristine and vibrant with color, its urban environments have alot of variety and you could just stand there and appreciate its many details. While there are a few cutscenes in the main game engine (all shown in your first person perspective) the main story cutscenes will be of normal 3rd person perspective but with a twist. The scenes have an interesting 2D CG kinda anime style (Not the kawaii kind). The animation is really fluid and unique to this game only as far as I am aware.

Story: The story as is the length of this game, is pretty short, depending how well you do and how quick you can figure out your enviroments to progress through the levels. The story follows Faith, a runner of Eurasian descent whose main job is to deliever packages for clients who don't want their messages jacked by higher government powers. I will try not to go into spoiler territory, but the story goes into a more noir crime drama and less on the package delivery. Those packages are there, but as collectable items and there is about 30 of them that can be found throughout the game.

Extras: Remember those collectables I mentioned earlier, they tie in the the extras tab on the main menu. This is a big bonus in my book because I greatly appreciate seeing all the work and concepts that go into making a game. Its a rare thing to find in a game these days. This is also where all the cutscenes are located and the entire soundtrack for easy listening. This game also has time trials, which is this game's soft multiplayer aspect. Seeing who can get through the level fastest and who is the best runner. You are going to need an EA account for leaderboards placement and things, although the mode can be played offline. You will just be racing yourself which is fine in my opinion.

Options: Whether you care about option menus or not, you can skip this part of the review. The options for this game are enough for this pc port, you got your graphic choices, V-sync, and other graphical options. Since this is an old game, I wouldnt expect many PCs to not be able to run this game smoothly, but it is nice to know that they are doing there job. Controls are re bindable with mouse and keyboard, and there are multiple control schemes if you are using a controller. All your sliders for sensitivity are there too.

Final word: As of writing of this review I have 5.5 hours of playtime (may be higher if I play more in the future), but it truly shows how short the campaign is. Probably less if i didnt die so much. But the time spent was alot of fun, alot of those play time hours may go to perfecting your parkour speed running skills for this game, it may also go to the hunt of those packages. And let me tell you, those things are not easy to find. There is a hint for finding them, but its not the best hint, essentially find the runner symbol painted on a wall or object in the world, when you see that then there should be a package nearby. And that is the end of this review, for a game as short of this, it really should be experienced. You wont be disappointed and since there is the sequel to this game I will have to get myself a copy and compare. So if you are looking for a fun experience, buy this game, especially on sale. (There are sadly no achievements for this game on PC)
