Deep Rock Galactic is a game about throwing yourself down into a hostile planet (with or without a team backing you up), grabbing resources for an exploitative mega-corporation, battling swarms of giant insects to survive, barely escaping with your life, then getting drunk at the local bar and doing it all over again! It's got a lot of personality and charm, and is incredibly enjoyable. There have been complaints about it being too repetitive, and I can understand; the game may stack many modifications upon the core game-play loop, but that core game-play loop never really changes. However, I'm one of those who really enjoyed it regardless and got many hours of fun out of it.

In addition, the community has been one of the friendliest in online multiplayer, and the developers have been incredibly pro-consumer. After having to deal with so many games filled with toxic jerks or incessant monetization, Deep Rock Galactic is a breath of fresh air.
