After going into day 2, I was confused after I picked up letter four since when I went back, with the lightbulb equipped and not-equipped, yet the door would not open. There was no way for me to get out... I went to the game's walkthrough on the steam overlay (Shift + Tab), it told me to go back into the room with the sofa and turn the vision off, then I would be able to open the door and continue on to see a girl. When I logged back into the game, I could no longer move my character and the game continually crashed until I had finally had enough. The game simply would not let me progress; I even verified my game files and restarted steam to see if I just had a corrupted file...

NOPE! The game just doesn't work.

I was digging the art-style and audio, which the audio was amazingly done by the way, however, the buggy nature of the game and the simple fact that I can't even continue the storyline is driving this review to a complete negative. Based on the other reviews, the story does not ever come through and ends up being below average at best. It's probably best to leave this one alone.

If you loved the Ultima Series and/or the older versions of Runescape, you're sure to find a place in this small, dedicated community.

EDIT: A really neat thing about this game as well is it is supported on android OS, so you can take your character with you on the go! I definitely did not expect this from a game like this! Absolutely amazing.

Further Edit: I really enjoy this game after 30 hours, it is hours of fun and if you enjoyed Runescape in the old days, you will quickly fall in love with this game. Great to kill time and spend time building characters you will be proud of. Helpful community and wiki can aid you in completing any quests or getting various items.

Update:
A hotfix patch has been released fixing almost all of the problems I have run into. These obvious bugs should have been fixed in the first place but now that they are the DLC is now playable.

After the bug fixes I'm going to bump this dlc up to 7/10 Toaster Ovens . I would of gave more if the dlc was polished before release.

First of all, I am a huge fan of the mod and the development team: Brytenwalda. The mod is absolutely fantastic. That being said I had high expectations from this DLC.

Other information to consider before reading this review:
I have a 650TI GTX 2gb graphics card,
quad-core 3.4ghz 4th gen I7 Processor,
and 16gb 1866 DDR3 ram
This will come in handy when I discuss some problems later on.

I love story-telling in games. It's refreshing to see it in a mount and blade game (A series I cherish so much). The map is extensive and ranges from the good ol' British Isles to Frisia and denmark and even to the lower tip of scandinavia. This being said I would expect some minor frame incodents with my computer. However you will get around 25 FPS if you are simply roaming the map without going at double speed. With double speed you will pretty much be limping along at 8FPS. I guess that's for the "cinematic" affect. The main screen presents itself and is absolutely beautiful. I love the art in the main screen as well as the loading sequences. Once you finish loading and finally click "play" you will be asked to play between two modes; Story and sandbox. These names are pretty self explanatory so I won't go into much detail explaining them. As for the Character creation it is still the same as all the others in the series, really not any difference at all. Once you get into the game (if in the story campaign mode) you will be presented with a tutorial, much like the one we see in the original mount and blade. Right off the bat the story starts to engulf you and you want to learn more about you and your surroundings. Without spoiling anything I will say that reading the dialogue and following the story is a fun experience. The content in this mod is enormous, at the level we saw in the mod 'Brytenwalda'. There are a few things added to and enhanced although. Combat is still the standard mount and blade style attack and blocking system. A few of the animations are changed to mess with your reflexes. Now that being said, the content is great, when you can get to it. You will experience crashing (Thank you odin for the autosave feature), texture glitches ( I found a glitch where horses in the market did not have textures), Frame lag , Music glitches, and so many other bugs, there are just too many to list. One of the glitches I encountered placed one troop at the enemy spawn and I was forced to run to him when I was finished killing his buddies. Please note, this didn't just happen in one battle. It happened in all of them. This absolutely broke any tension and was an extreme annoyance that could have been easily fixed. The troop management screen (accessed through backspace) has been improved a bit by zooming out and giving a more commander like feel to it. This was an easy change but a good one.

Bravo for reading all of that^ *clap clap*

Overall I'm going to give this a rating of 5/10 Toaster ovens.
The game is just too buggy in it's current stage to give this a recommend. I love the story-telling but the bugs should have been fixed, even it would have taken another month. I would wait a couple of weeks or even a month, heck however long it takes them to fix these little rascals scowering around the DLC at it's current stage.

Right off the bat this game comes after you with all new game mechanics. There are no doors now ( instead of two entrances there are three) and have been replaced by a freddy suit. However some animatronics will ignore this suit and you will have to use other means to distract and survive them. On top of those two changes a music 'Jack in the box' type of thing has been added in. This needs to be checked every so often.

I would not recommend this game to a newcomer, I would however buy the first game and if you like it try this one.

Thank you scott for keeping the 'squeeing' nose on the Freddy poster! :)

Five nights at freddy's is one of those games that is extremely unique and just sits well with everyone. It's simple you sit in a room and play security guard, you have to check your cameras from time to time as well as your door lights. If the animatronics get to your doors hatch them down and get ready to lose power! In the first few hours of this game you will be absolutely terrified! Especially if your are playing alone in the dark. However the jumpscare kill ending is the same for all animatronics. After a couple of hours you will get used to this death sequence and just focus on beating the nights. This game is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone looking for some good scares and a hard game to beat.

This game, while extremely short (It took me 40 minutes to complete the game), was absolutely amazing.
I love games that pride themselfs on good atmosphere and storytelling. The story followed through was very sound and you could discover the different sections of the island at will. Atmosphere in this game was great, maybe it's just me being a baby or maybe it isn't!, as you are walking in the tunnels and darker houses it feels extremely mystic and the subtitles narrating your trip as well as the ambiance boost the scare factor.

All in all if you are looking for a quick game that has a great storyline and a relatively creepy atmosphere get this game.

This is definatley a WIP and it shows.
BUT...
They are making tons of progress as the recent updates have shown by making the game look astounding for a Unity game and adding tons of new items and recipes.
There are 100s of zombies in one small town and tons of different loot.
If you've ever wanted to build a treehouse now you can, I absolutley love the barricading in this game it allows for a lot of fun experimenting with the building mechanics although they are quite fustrating at times.
It's looking really promising and the guys and gals over at sandswept studios are doing a great job updating this game.
I think by early 2015 this game will be amazing.
I have one major problem with the game...
If you have a bad PC even a decent PC you may not be able to run this unless you turn the settings all the way down and at that will still get frame lag when the world generates new land.
Sandswept needs to get on top of this and fix optimization, a unity game should not be this graphic Intensive.
I'm not sure if It was just me but the zombies seem to have gotten ghost reach over the past few updates and I cannot hit them before they can hit me. ( I think it might be because my weapon is too short but I should be able to reach them with a small knife if they can reach me bare arms.)
It is alpha and I think they will continue working on this for the next year or more, I'd support them now and test it for a while then really get into it when it's beta or full release.
