Due to the hype I actually played DA Origins and DA2 in order, so I could then play Inquisition. While the first two entries had their problems, they still were enjoyable experiences. Inquisition was just painfully boring and soulless. The first mission actually felt like the usual (and good) "on-rails" missions of DA origins, just with better graphics. The open world after that though is just a series of bland and generic RPG fetch quests. NPCs have literally no personality besides being the guy who needs 10 goat pelts or the woman who wants you to go to that particular spot to do, uh...I already forgot. Enemies just infinitely re-spawn and mindlessly attack you, never actually amounting to any kind of challenge (played on hard) and just serve to draw out the already painfully boring fetch quests. In the 6 hours I played, I quit 3 times out of sheer boredom and decided to give it another, undeserved, chance.

Easy mode, on rails, slightly cringy XCOM.

Played through on expert and by the end my squad was ridiculously OP; to the point where it got tedious to even complete the game (This coming from someone who cried all the way through normal difficulty Ironman XCOM2).

The writing was geared towards teenagers ,which is fine by itself, but the "witty" high school banter was done in the most "Hi, fellow kids"-way possible.

I really enjoyed this game. At first the uninspired combat and controlls almost made me quit the game but I am glad I didn't. The story really picks up after a few chapters and the ending is really well executed and feels very GOT-sy. If you play games just for gameplay and usually just skip dialogue this game is not for you. On a pure technical view I'd give it a 4/10 but the story and atmosphere made it a 9/10 for me

I have spent hours trying to get this game to actually work but I have wasted my time and money it seems. None of the suggestions on the Forum work. And since Microsoft has terminated any kind of support for GFWL it's just impossible to get any real help. This is the only game in my life that I did not get to run.
1/10.

Edit: about a year after I bought the game I tried to start it up again (to see if the transfer from GFWL to Steam has occured) and suddenly the game ran without problems. It seems that a GFWL update has fixed my problem, I didn't even reinstall GFWL or did anything to my PC since I last tried. Looks like I can finaly play the game. (It's great)
