If you can think it, there is almost a 100% chance the game will let you do it in some capacity. The unprecedented polish of Baldur's Gate 3 has completely stirred my mushy gamer brain as it has hours of content all of which never feel like boring side content AND always feel like the time you're invested is worth it by earning some new weapon or gear. This is a game of choice which is greatly appreciated as it often keeps the game entirely fresh for new campaigns. I can already note several differences between my friends and I's campaign all of which lead to a unique third act for each of us.

The diversity in Baldur's Gate 3's cast of companions means that combat will almost never get stale. I often found myself swapping party members for different instances such as Astarion for sneaky sneaks while using someone like Karlach to shut my brain off and just wack some stuff. As for my playthrough, I had chosen the class of Paladin which is undeniably broken in the late game as a result of its critical hits alongside the illithid powers.

As I have just completed my campaign after 50 or so hours, I am already determined to start another to see just how much of Baldur's Gate 3 I had missed. While this game may not be for everyone, it is a game that anyone should try atleast once. Larian Studios and Baldur's Gate 3 should be awarded heavily in the gaming sphere as it is not very often when we see games like this coming out. Their constant persistence and strive for creating the best experience is something entirely fresh and needed in today's gaming landscape.

Originally, I would have said that the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would sweep the game awards taking home Game of the Year. However, I strongly believe that Baldur's Gate 3 will now win after its extremely successful launch and reception.

10/10
