Horrible graphics, broken AI, teleporting vehicles, I have no idea how this game has the score it has now.

This game had the potential to be a huge classic but it felled down flat rght as I was going to the end. Usddently everything went to red.

I suspect this was caused because unless you fully and extremly commit to one "ideology" the game punishes you by not giving you any "rewards".

This was a constant issue with "crises" appearing from completely nowhere, probably because I haved triggered enough "points" so I always got negative results from every single action. One example is giving a huge amount of money to the Army, going with pretty much any choice my Defenser Minister suggested, the game giving me messages that we have a very close connection but because we joined "N"ATO (I guess, I never found out) he suddently supported the minister I Expressively FOUGHT FOR *HIS* RIGHT TO Gernarme INDEPEDENCE.

Choosing one of the major party leaders for your VP? Yeah ♥♥♥♥ you apparently you never get support from him and your Strategist betrays you

Join NATO adn expect to get that nice military spending money to balance oyur budget? Never gonna happen because you did not go full free market with a fat CEO guy taht tried to bribe you inside your own presidential office.

Invest in the local energy company and get reports that they are getting more and more succefull? Well ♥♥♥♥ you too you are getting no money ( for whatever reason, it was never explained).

Do you succefully navigate the early days that were close to civil war. Well good job mate, you get ♥♥♥♥.


And all this come crashing down, without a single warning right before the end of the game.

At the end of the game the whole country was in revolt. Why? Never found out, the game did not bothered to tell me and just gave me "People are protest" and it never allowed me to do any actions to combat it. I asked to tall with the protesters to not escalate issues. Well ♥♥♥♥ you the game told me, you will never hear more about this.


Terrible game, thank god I got it for free, I wish I could ask for a refund for the 13 hours I lost.

Terrible terrible dissapointment of a game.

Grind grind all day grind

I am using a premium tank plus premium account (subscription) and I am just barely breaking even since you have to pay repair costs. Be warned its impossible to play as a f2p player.

- Game is playable, but feels pretty empty and disjointed. Storyline and characters, an important part of the Fallout experience, are abysmal.

Still decent bugs and crashes. Lots of QoL fixes missing, using the Inventory systems on PC is a huge hassle, feels like something out the 90s.

Buy it in discount, at about 20$/Euros is pretty good. NOT for 40euros in any way

A glorified mobile game, with the ads to go along!
The UI/UX is terrible, and the AI is non existent and basically you play a game of whack-a-mole all the time, trying to send your units, which cant do anything by themselves, to each and every incident. The price is stupid expensive for what it gives, when around the same price range you got Rimworld, Minecraft, etc etc

What is annoying is that the Emergency series, though without major faults of their own, had this gameplay done in the freaking 90s with full 2d and later 3d graphics!

The release of NMS was like when the Uruk Hai managed to explode the walls of Helms Deep and everything was lost. The rebound they did and what beautiful game it is now is like Gandalf and the Rohirrim arriving from the East with the first light of the Sun.

An excersise to frustation, difficulty for difficulty's sake. If you are looking for sandbox game that keeps being challeing past the initial stages, well THIS isn't, it leans all the way to the other side reaching rogue-style type of "hardcore". Permadeath , three meters to keep an eye out (Health,Food, Sanity), numerous deadly random events that can happen at any time and several time lack of player agency means you keep restarting an retracing your initial steps again, and agan and again..and again. Refreshing at the start, pretty boring fast enough.

-Realistic Grand Strategy, you command Armies and Nations, not Units
-Real time with pause use suggested very much.
-Complex dynasties and character simulation, with each character being different every time. But minimal graphics for those!
-Essentially very Minimal in graphics. No 3D Battles. For players of Total War, think a very very detailed strategy map being the only available.

In conclusion, If you love thinking "what if..", if you like sandbox games, historical accuracy and complex strategy, buy it in a heartbeat.

The game is practically empty right now.The world is filled with mostly placeholders and it really feels like a pre-Alpha Dayz with some minecraft crafting added in for good measure.It seems to have potential, but the game is basically at 10-15% complete right now so defintely not worth 20 euros.Go buy Project Zomboid for a lot less for the survival thrill.

UPDATE: SO after many years I decided to fireup Rust once more. The difference was dramatic, might as well be a different game. Servers are variable, so if you watn a cutthroat, grief or be griefed place you can find it, if you want to chill building you base you can also find it and anything in between. The game is great in balancing its survival difficulty, not being a chore and always being on edge because you die 2 minutes after having no water, but it still punishing if you are unlucky and/or not careful, even in end game gear.

It still have things that are very rough, like horses that cant jump a 1 cm gap and get permastuck in rocks or a building process thas is an exercise to frustation, compared to similar other games

But this is still one ofmy most plaeyd games, and from a 3/10 I would give years ago, its a solid 8/10 now for me. IT loses a few points due to the rough mechanics existing still, and that includes a "loot box" system for ingame skins (so basically, gambling)
