Good story, good artstyle, amazing music, super fun gameplay with almost endless replayability.
Best rogue-lite on the market my a mile. Even if you are not a fan of rouge-lite games, you should try this game.

If yes: Buy this game!

If no: Buy the game anyways! It's really fun and worth the money. Soo much replayability.

It's also on the switch, where i would recommend it even more! It's the perfect game for on the go! :D

Sooooo, this game has:
-an amazing and super fun movement system
-cool and fun to play combat options for every kind of playstyle
-an amazing story
-many long term goals (if you like grinding)
-2 great open world maps
-fishing
-a very unique artstyle, that can be a bit wierd at times but fits the game perfectly
-an immernse amount of fashion options for every aspect of the game (including a very cool program that lets community artists create new cosmetics for the game and gives them a fair share of the profits)
-an amazing dev team that listens to its community and is extremely invested in their own game
-and much more that i probably missed in this short review
aaaaaand its free2play. Yep, even if you think its completely not up your alley, you can just try it out and maybe you find something in the vast amount of content this game has to offer that makes you stay ;)

This is one of the best games i ever played. The setting is wierd but amazing. Through all the unlockable floors, items and fights and the random generated levels it has almost infinite replayability.
Not many games give you so much value for your money. Buy it, you wont be disappointed!

Have you ever seen one of those rewievs on a game with the person having thousands of hours i a game and giving it a thumbs down and saying the game is bad and they dont recommend it? I used to make fun of those people on a reguler basis. Like "lol if the game was so bad you wouldnt have played it for x-thousand hours xD". Well here we are a few years later...

This game was the perfect game for me. I started playing it in open beta and i loved everything about it. The world, the feeling of the game, the gameplay depth, the amazing concept of challenge leagues and on top of it all the amazing devs. They were so actively involved in the community and you had a genuine feeling they cared for their game as much as they cared for their community. Well...lets just say that changed over the years. Drastically.

For me the game was at an abolute high after they reworked the masters and the atlas tree and anounced PoE2. But that high didnt last. I dont have the time or energy to list everything that went wrong with the game the last few years. But a lot of it has to do with a thing called "the vision" wich is basically their take on how the game is ment to be played. What they dont realise is that the game went in a completly different (and in my oppinion way better) direction for years and most people loved it. To list a few things that they did: They nerfed crafting items in almost every way possible, they nerfed player power (and more important player defenses) multiple times, they keep nerfing the top skills and ascendancies in the game without buffing others, they buffed and overtuned enemies on multiple occasions, they keep nerfing old league content to the point of having dozens of completely uselessd and unrewarding mechanics bloating their game. And the worst part of it all: They nerfed LOOT! In an ARPG! In a game that at its core is all about getting better stuff to do harder content to get better stuff, AKA a loot spiral, they nerfed the freaking loot.

This Devteam is so out of touch with their community its baffeling. And sad. Most of all sad.
I loved this game. I spend thousands of Euros on this game to support the devs and the future development. And it feels more and more like i have bet on the wrong horse. I can no longer in good conscience recommend this game. Every new league they announce sounds amazing in the beginning, until you find out all the stuff they changed and didnt announce. Or straight up lied about these days.
I still have hope for this game with PoE2 on the horizon, but it feels more and more like the little hope we all have for D4 being good even though we know its blizzard developing that game....and yeah i never thought i would think about GGG like i think about blizzard, and that makes me even more sad...
