Early Access Review
700+hrs in on steam, 1300+hrs in epic(i use both for multiplayer and testing reasons) all i can can say is this is the best game of its genre hands down(if anyone knows a first person factory automation game comparable comment). power management is very tedious at times but its still quite rewarding mass automating is nearly ever-ending in this game with over 90+ fully automate-able items and growing(each requiring up to 4 items/raw ores) it gets very complicated quick also with over 80+ alternate recipes to unlock via scattered and hidden hard-drives there is many ways to 'skin this cat'. the games build area is about 46 km2 so don't worry that's enough room to just build it out if you want. the game is simply beautiful the entire world is hand made the quality really shows and each update more and more areas keep getting better this game will put your automation skill to the test while giving you a relaxing environment to do it in. combat is not a main focus but its not terrible either all hostile creatures are there to slow limit the player much like certain terrain features but this is far from a weak point, in fact the only mute weak point for satisfactory is simply a lack of a sandbox/creative mode, but that is basically null and void once you mass automate buildings and such are not immensely expensive in this game unlocking and completing project Assembly(in the space-elevator) is the most costly thing you will do aside from building hundreds of factory buildings, so once you have a 100+GW mega factory down the cost of anything is nearly a mute point, inventory limit grows via unlocks and you advance further in the tiers and the cost of any single thing is well within starter inventory size(most costly being the space elevator of which you can only build one atm. progression in the game is self paced and the end goal and unlock each tier group is fixed but the route you chose is entirely player driven you could very well spend the majority of your time mass automating from start of spend it exploring the vast pre-built map from any of the (currently) 4 starting zones the map is very extensive and feature a host of biomes in all i love this game and will put in more and more time in it be it modded or vanilla...
A MUST BUY OF ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY A FIRST-PERSON FACTORY AUTOMATION GAME.
in my 1000+ games i have of seen no other game come remotely close to this experience.
if a non-first person factory game is want your looking for 'FACTORIO' is its top-down low graphic cousin.
