This game is more underground than NFS Underground. Blurred faces, the shady figures in the car park, the numbing sound right before a race. I would happily pay money for this in its current state.

I expected a Bethesda game in space but I didn't expect it to be stuck in the past either, the A.I is nothing new and resembles games that were released 8+ years ago. The loading screens are frequent and consistently break immersion. It can render an entire city or tile but needs a separate loading screen for the interior of a ship? The planets that you explore are mostly barren and boring - I tried to give this game a go but I feel it's a solid 6/10 for me at this current time.

Once the modding community addresses the issues then I will most likely return. This review reflects the base vanilla game.

I very rarely write reviews, in fact I believe this is my first one. The Callisto Protocol is not ready to be released on PC due to the game breaking stutter issues. Unfortunately I will be having to refund this game and wait a little longer. I understand the publisher sets the release date and not the developer, KRAFTON Inc have done an amazing job graphically, it just needs a couple more weeks.

Update 2nd day after release: Stuttering has considerably been improved.

I can't believe this game is free! Fantastic effort, could of easily charged a few dollars and I still would of bought it!

As a police chief you are given choices that aren't exactly black and white the consequences of it will effect you only if you want it too. Do you feel comfortable of using brute force to suppress a riot then blaming your actions on a third party? Or take full responsibility?
How will you reach your financial goal, by investigating local gangs and working up the ladder? What will you do with all the confiscated weapons? Take them back to HQ or sell it back to the Mafia?

By the end of each day its up to the player if they feel guilty, or is it too late to make a change? Or who really cares, the game doesnt force you to feel anything, you make it happen yourself. That's what I love about this game, for $13 its a steal and to be honest I would of paid at least $30.
