How the game started for me:

Now I'm not an expert at souls like games this is only my second game after Elden Ring, i knew this would be tough

Game start - admire the absolute beauty that is this game, watch opening cutscene and have an goosebumps running up my spine with excitement.
Cutscene ends *oh ♥♥♥♥ I'm fighting already* - have no clue how to play
keep button smashing - getting the hang of the moves
Game is like a movie scene and I'm just part of it - thanks Peter Jackson
Scenes end and I'm just *♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥*

I'M A PEACH and I'm ABOUT TO BE EATEN!!!!
oh I'm the chosen one i cant be eaten
I'ma beat some fools - I realise how terrible I am at this game and the first scene was scripted. Smack smack, dodge roll, smack, GET SMACKED, dodge, heal, continue the onslaught

*FIRST BOSS*
Sized him up- he cant be that bad
HE BEATS THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT OF ME
Saved by the small dude with carrots coming out his ears and nose
*I get my first SPELL* - FREEZE that b*tch - button smash knowing this big piece of ♥♥♥♥ cant do anything to me, I'm going to be the most powerful monkey. After the first fight of the game, i knew it could only get better and more exciting
continue on to beat this boss

The story goes as such each boss has a unique move set and character, each time you fail you learn the pattern and moves (you think you're getting better)
Then game throws you a curve ball and the move sets and patterns change and you become a wet noodle.
No one warned me that this game would consume my life and test my will and patience
I tried and tried pushed and pushed to progress - i gave the game a break at chapter 2 ONLY CHAPTER 2

When i came back i told my self i needed to finish this game, it deserved every attempt it deserved my frustration, it deserved the potential of me loosing my screen and smashing my remote to pieces. I pushed through, i endured. Each chapter had more depth and characters. *Now I've never read or understood the story "Journey to the West"* I was also told that Dragon Ball and the character of Goku was inspired by it.

Man this game brings out all my emotions.

I get to Erlang (What a boss to fight) - I've seen people struggle against him, I've seen people cheese him, I've seen so many different builds and attempts and the relief people got from beating him.
When i finally reached that goal of beating him, i shouted out loud

Every boss, every little nook and cranny of the chapters, every secret and side quest. Reaching the final boss knowing i had trudged and bled through every fight, every new character, getting every piece of gear preparing me for this fight.

Beating this game gave me such joy, and i am now NG+ 3 because it is so worth playing through again

10/10 - just doge better than the boss can hit
