Finally gotten around to play this, and let me just say it's an absolute treat.

Pretty simple boomer-shooter mechanics, gunplay feels great and the art style is awesome.
What surprised me the most is the sound-design and the fantastic atmosphere this game has, I even got unsettled a few times and could feel the hairs in my neck rise because of the tension at some points.

BUY IT!
(It's even worth it when not on a sale!)

Awesome game!

Perfect mix between story and gameplay, good dialogue with hilarious moments and over-the-top set pieces.
I've always enjoyed how Japanese writers and developers write Americans to be so tacky and "larger than life,
you are the young and naive "himbo" action-hero and that's why I love Leon so much. He just wants to do good.

Movement and gunplay is crisp and responsive, sound design is good and enemy variety is top-notch.
Shooting plaga-ridden townsfolk with the riot-gun, so their torso split in half, is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ satisfying.

Straight to refund until the performance is better.

No ultrawide support at release in 2024 is wild.
Will edit my review on a second playthrough, when they've added UW-support.

EDIT:

UW Support has since been implemented and I am now thoroughly enjoying my time with this title.
It plays like a third-person Doom title, the combat is intense and the takedowns are a nice cherry on top.
The PVP is awesome and plays nice, however a proper progression system in PVP would have been a nice touch and some better rewards for the hardcore fans would be appreciated.

8/10 game.

I like the vision the devs had for this, as of right now its a 30€ tech-demo with forced open-mic. Will probably buy it again, if it gets more features, a nice progression-system and stability updates.

On a serious note, this game has an amazing art-style, atmosphere and sense of immersion.
Gameplay is also very good and engaging, you have to study the world around you as the game is very open ended, meaning there are no objective markers or anything to guide you.

I genuinely love this game.

Good game, disaster of a port. Lets hope Nixxes can launch the sequel in a playable state.
