It's not that bad.
All the original players from the first Cities can tell you it was a work in progress. It took 5 years for the original to get to the level it's at today. And then the pandemic hit. This drove everybody indoors for weeks or months. This added an entirely new set of players to the game. The modding exploded and added so much more making the game increasingly better. This will be a similar experience, and shouldn't take as long to get it to the same high level.
I will have the same negative comments everyone else has had. There's no doubt it was released too early and more testing should have been done. However, CO is working on it and will probably continue to do updates, and bug fixes, and hopefully add in some extras for free.

This is the best (so far). I've clocked over 300 hours playing around.
