Very glad this game has a demo. If you're at all curious, or wondering how the game could stretch its simple premise into something worth even the low price of entry - I know I was - give the demo a try. You'll know pretty quick if the gameplay loop is something you can get into.

I'm quite bad at this sort of game, but nothing like the prospect of rescuing cute bugs to motivate a guy

The game deserves its (currently) mixed reviews. It's buggy, and I frequently find a session cut short by one where the screen freezes up after finishing combat - kind of a buzzkill. That said, the game is still a great roleplaying experience. Has the feel of the classic isometric games, but streamlined. Tons of options for character builds, story progression, and combat strategy. I really appreciate the option to restart a combat - I'm going to savescum anyway in a game where resources are this scarce, so it's a nice time saver.
I love rpgs, cosmic horror, and anything with a fun story. This game feels like it was made for me, and in spite of the bugs I'm glad I bought it on launch. But if, unlike me, you do feel like you can wait to get your hands on this, then hold off until they release a patch.
