First try: I saw the title screen and thats it.
Second try: I saw a black screen and thats it.
Third try: I saw a black screen (even Steam overlay wont open either).
I just installed this crap, but lets go, Steam, verify the integrity of the files, please.
Everything ok, no files missing, nothing to fix, lets try again.
Aaaaaand?
Black screen, oh, ♥♥♥♥ off game.

Found a fix, apparently there was missing files, ONE file missing makes the game not start.....
Got the file online, played a bit....

And the grind is disgusting, keep in mind that i played Destiny 2, Lost Ark and War Thunder (the looter shooter, the korean vibe, and the grind).

This game is worse than i imagined, you get one choice of 3 characters, and get another soon after, through the campaing.
But to get other characters, you need to farm an ingredient that is used to farm a boss (with 3% chance of droping the thing you need) plus stuff added to make 1/4 of the process of unlocking said character, your time may not be worthless, but this game treats like you can play like a job (this was only to unlock one character, we didnt even start on the weapons, abilities, the cards for the character, for each kind of weapon, and the upgrading of gear, as you lvl until lvl40, but your gear goes to lvl100) forget the end game, you grind since lvl 1.

-Great gameplay
-Fresh take on microtransactions
-Variety of gear to use and kill everything that moves (friends included)
-Many enemy types and each have its own weakspots (not all of those are the glow bit btw)

BUT

-Playstation shot the game in the back with their PSN account for no reason (many countries still cant buy the game).
-For a small dev team, there seems to be too much divergency on ideas, the CEO had to step down (and go manage the game directly) because the balance was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over all the fun gear, making some things become meta, then nerfing said meta.
-Many patches and fixes go around, things go well, then break some patches later, looks like a dozen teams and each one works indepentent so one fix break other fixes and so on. (looking at you "Superior Packing Methodology").
-Major order progression seems useless, you can gain any territory you want, but you need a number of players that doesnt exist to mantain said territories, and with a dwindling player base, each time we focus on having fun, a dozen planets gets taken, and you need proper coordination between players to get some planets back (even harder when half of the stats of resistance of the planets needs third party software to be understood).
--Some enemies have for crap mechanics that makes it unfair to fight against, enemies with infinite ammo, or that shot through objects (rocks, bodies, yours get blocked, theirs go thro fine), some finicky weak spots, and dont even get started on the MANDATORY AT on higher difficulties.

TL:DR:
Game is fun, even more with friends, but the balance and fine tunning of the stuff is way off atm.

*Edit: They fixed a lot, increased the usefulness and fun of a lot of gear, still need more work on the armor part, but the game is fun again, if they have the mindset of the first game, it will become even better, but till then, ill keep updating this from time to time, right now, seems fine, and we probably will see this game get some extra gas when the illuminati returns (third enemy race).

Bots galore some spots on the map you may as well forget, because theres bots spawming skills on the respawn or doing some quests, so you will spend double or triple the time to find the stuff for the quest somewhere else.
If you plan to play anything else, or do something in your day, the daily routine will take couple hours with luck.
Pay to progress in the end game, because what ♥♥♥♥♥ you more than geometric progression of resources needed with RNG crafting? THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ COMUNITY
The start is a fun leveling, but the end game with activities for daily/weekly and resources (boss battles, hunts or dungeons) you better watch 2 hours of tutorials on youtube because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic comunity will not teaching anything, they expect top techinique and only pro moves from the get go.

TL:DR
Bots, RNG crafting, beyond toxic comunity.

Well, it seems like a joke when they say that the game runs fine till it doesnt anymore...
but its exactly that, you can play for hours with a couple of crashes, then it goes to ♥♥♥♥, in the last 5 hours of game i got 20x more crashes than the other 75 hours combined.
Bugsoft ideed.

A group of friends show me the game, looks nostalgic but with a complexity and strategy incredible dependent on the player base.
It got a grab on me that i put about 300 hours in 2 months.

You can be anything:
from the base of the Logistic (scraping resources, refining basic materials),
to advanced logistic (refining rare materials, building vehicles and supplies for special ops)
or saciate your bloodlust on the frontlines (fight for ground and the tug of war with any weapon or tool avaiable).

INCREDIBLE for any player to make a team effort and plan massive ops, to the random joe picking a gun and runing to the sound of bullets and explosions on the distance.....

BUT (A MASSIVE ONE)

They changed a great deal of the crafting (most of the fun stuff now needs incredible amount of time and resources to be able to achieve)
ALTs (player with a secondary account on the oposing enemy team to spot weaknesses on the defence grid, stealing anything from resources and vehicles to blocking essential paths.)
They took out the voice chat with the enemy team because their servers suck (massive map, but segmented because the server suck, and cant handle too many players, or too many buildings, or just dies because whatever)

TL:DR
Incredible complexity, but you need to sink too much time for anything fun to use, and the problem with ALTs, grief and trolling is killing the playerbase that still play after a bunch of updates that made the bit of grinding in the game in a shore/second job.

This game offers a range of things for you to pick:
Pick your class, primary weapon, your secondary gun, grenade, passives and active skills....
Pick a beard, skin color (gold-blue-whatever), a nice armor, put some color on it (optional from green beards to gray ones, everyone has the right), your helmet, select a victory pose.....
Pick your mission, the biom, modificators, pick up a bunch of angry dwarves, point at the enemies and pick them apart.....

BUT, the most important one, pick up your pickaxe and ROCK AND STONE!

Free weekend, nice!
Lets try this, with a group of friends, pick any server with higher drop rates to have a feel of the mid-later stages....
.....aaaaaand its a game that have some:
- non-sense drop in FPS, you look at your buddy, the frames go lazy mode
- giant dinos with ♥♥♥♥ hit boxes that can bite you with their asses
- randoms with god-given-dinos that go thru time and space to ♥♥♥♥ you
- somewhat stupid patches/updates that makes servers up-to-date and users no-play-today (servers have it, steam didnt, so you cant connect, go figure).

So, 3 days to decide if its worth, and they took a ♥♥♥♥ on the steam users....and the good way to make things work, is to look for when the game does not (bugs and gliches ftw as you need it in most situations to tame, build, raid and survive).

Edit with +17 hours: Same stuff, but now i saw dudes selling god-given-dinos so scrubs can use that tek rex to clean the life of the map.

They glich the ♥♥♥♥ out of the first game, that now is a bugfest mess impossible to play with friends.
They come with this stupid "paradox account" that you have to create to be able to play multiplayer (i use steam and nothing else for the sole reason of NOT NEEDING ♥♥♥♥ TON OF LOGINS AND PASSWORDS), the concept "pay for the game, play whatever" obviously is not present here. Regret to had spent a cent on this developer/publisher. If i cant get a refund, its going to the cemetery.

Started because a friend told me i could play slow, build some, mine some stuff and fight for the fun.
The gist: you start to like the fights, droping better loot and going after stronger enemies, then you find better stuff to mine, so you can upgrade your gear and make complex buildings.....see where it goes? If you have friends to go with in this adventure, put 5x more fun and at least 10x more chaos (it makes it better, but be carefull with explosives).
Awesome game, i have the end game stuff, but still return to it to build something that was stuck in my mind and had to give a form.

Awesome spells
Mess around with elements and get some weird pratical combos
friendly fire for that is needed when you have many ways to kill one another

BUT

it will glich to connect, it bugs inside the game
crashes, freezes, and black screens are usual
even mandatory "cinematics" can bug itself that the boss is stuck to doors
Great game if you dont mind to create and recreate a session 2-3 times each 10 minutes and some crashes that need you to reset the pc or internet

TL:DR
Fun game but its a BUG FEST
stay away from it for your own sanity.
