NG2>NGB>NGS>NG3RE>NGS2 (My rankings from best to worst)

Sigma 1 seems to be great on how it is, except I dislike the backflip that Ryu does. The backflip sounds cool, but sadly it has minimal invincibility frames... For a series that basically wants you to abuse iframes, this can be an annoying issue, which wasn't present in NGB - this could be the difference between winning and not on the higher difficulties

3RE is a controversial game. The game is okay... but the gameplay can be super frustrating with enemies constantly dodging and taking forever to delimb. I'd say give it a shot, you might actually really like it!

Now, we come to Sigma 2, and this is unfortunately the most disappointing game for me, as NG2 is the best Ninja Gaiden imo. Sigma 2 is worse than NG2 in every single way. Players who are fresh or still quite new to Ninja Gaiden will prob find no issue, but NG players mostly agree Sigma 2 is an inferior version. I can still enjoy it, because I get to play at a full locked 60fps with no framerate dips, and no v-sync, but I just wish we had NG2 instead... :(

To conclude, if you can, purchase Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 instead of this collection. If not, this collection can be good enough if you're unfamiliar with the series. Sigma 1 is great. 3RE can be hit or miss. However, Sigma 2 honestly should not decide your final judgement on what ''NG2'' really is. It's very different with less, but more tanky enemies, which changes the game a lot compared to the original.
