With the sequel announced I finally decided to write a review for this game. Even years after release it still has some rough edges and the feats could do with some rebalancing. Nevertheless, it's a good immersive medieval RPG experience with good quest design.

It's a cool survival horror game. While it takes heavy influence from other titles in the genre, its unique setting sets it apart from them. It's just the thing that can scratch your itch for survival horror experiences.

An excellent life simulator of the life of a Second Punic War era Roman legionary. Fight your way through Hispania. Take the fight into the heart of Carthage. Smash through the Macedonian phalanx and bring Alexander's homeland to heel.

It's basically Princess Maker Lite. It's more intuitive and easier to learn than the games that inspired it. I warmly recommend it as an introduction to the games of that genre.

After hundreds of hours of playtime with this game since launch, I can say that I wouldn't recommend it in its current state. For all the promise of interesting mechanics to influence the internal development of the country of your choice, the gameplay mostly consists of waiting. You wait for your farms and factories to be built. You wait for whatever war you're waging to conclude itself. The many updates this game has had haven't done enough to mitigate the issues that stem from its core design.

An intriguing interactive novel with a heavy political theme. Unlike the Democracy series, it manages to be engaging despite what its subject matter would make you think. Definitely worth checking out.

I liked it overall. I found it interesting how there is no leveling system but rather character health, stats, "mana" etc. are dependent on the equipment they have combined with some consumables that give permanent stat buffs. There are also hidden "side quests" in the game and also some variety on how a few situations could be solved in several ways. I also dig the games unique visuals and art style that invoke old timey computer graphics.

The only downside this game has is that it's rather short although the game's price of just 10 € does mitigate it a little.

This game's an addicting clicker game influenced by the likes of Civilization series. At the time of writing it's still an early access and balancing could still use some adjusting but it shows a lot of promise.

The best Wolfenstein title ever.
