Early Access Review
Would have given this a positive rating initially - but a lack of updates, and some massive bugs (losing 28 mins of progress, repeatedly) make me say this game is not worth it. Also its been out for a long time and I don't really see any major improvements or upgrades to it at all since I played it months and months ago.
Not worth the price.

This is the best game in SO long, since Elden Ring
Act III is a bit buggy and the ending has some Mass Effect letdowns, but I think it'll get sorted out tbh and I played ONE character like 200 hours, so its worth every penny.

EDIT: Now that the game is released, I take back all of my criticism... this game is so much fun, it has tons of stuff to unlock, different maps and modes, different systems, the 3 units feel very different... Just an amazing job.

The bones of the game are amazing - but it simply does not have replay value.
There's 2 characters. "Rapid Fire," or "Blades."
There are "Explosive," weapons but no hero uses them solely yet.

Fun game, but it feels very unfinished. I'm 4 hours in and i've basically completed everything. I'm leaving this no review because the game had a promo it's, "Released," and I would say this is VERY early access.

I'm not sure how fast the dev plans to add content - but if Vampire Survivor-like games are a fix your craving i'd say there's better options out there.

Pros:
It's a clone of Vampire Survivors.
The weapons are fun, the fusions are cool, the unique heroes offer a nice twist.

Cons:
Pretty easy to beat once you unlock all the weapons (which took me a couple hours) and then after that it's very grindy.
Leveling your hero traits, skills, and familiars would take hours and hours and not change the gameplay very significantly...

Still worth the purchase though for the price.

SO much fun. Best idler ive played in years. Unfortunately ive reached the end of where I can really progress though, so i
lll have to wait for the dev to update the game.
Tons of stuff to do and new stuff opens up as you progress. Definitely worth the price.

Played this a decade ago and loved it - but the graphics have not held up enough that I could stomach it in 2019.
As far as graphics go, I still play old games (Baldurs Gate, lots of Snes/GBA stuff) but nothing about it seemed charming enough to pull me back.
I do remember loving the original though. Especially how you could have a companion to do the instances with you.

All in all though as 2019 goes i'd say if you have a decent computer maybe try a newer MMORPG.

So much loot, but not enough inventory space. Eventually you just end up leaving it all on the floor and only picking up scrolls or the rarest loot... otherwise you'd be running back to town a million times (limited town portal scrolls... a pain)

Still, if you're burnt out of Diablo 3 and looking for something to fill the void absolutely no game out there is better than this. I can't believe I hadn't heard of it.

Noticed it had microtransactions but reviewing the store they all basically seemed cosmetic.

Feels like you get less freedom to make your own skill choices than in the original - which is probably good for some people as you could really mess yourself up in the original...
but for those of us who've played before and know what we want to do it feels a lot more cookie cutter in terms of skill customization.
That being said though the storyline to this is amazing. It's spooky, very horror themed... the monsters are actually gross and you can feel some genuine fear at some of them.
Combat is still fun, haven't gotten far enough in to see how group combats been changed from the original but it still seems like a solid game to sink some time into.

Literally the worst purchase i've ever made. Asked Steam for a refund and they said no.
I'd avoid this mess...

Mostly played around on the first one - never really got that into it as the story didn't pull me in.
The sequel is great. I'd recommend you start with one of the pre-made characters and role play your way through as them before you consider making an original character though.
Fun combat, lots of choices, lots of customization of your team... everything you'd hope from a modern day Baldur's Gate.
