My interpretation

I think the song is about a person whom loves another with all his heart but the feeling is not mutual. He has never felt this way about anyone before and has no idea why he feels this way, he just does. She wants to move on with her life but all he can think of is her. The thought of this kills him from the inside but at the same time his love for her is too strong, so it doesn't matter as she will always be his bright spot.
