I've used this software for well over 2 years, probably 1k hours, but I just bought it to support + got a sale after the funny things about Adobe.
If you're still using Photoshop, you're probably living under a rock or your corporate bosses are telling you to do it and don't care about NDAs or something. This is not only easier and better but it's free, it's probably got more benefits than Photoshop than comparing Blender with Maya.
I'm not sure what it is, and I did try GIMP for a short term after Photoshop wasn't for me, used CS3 several years, but Krita is pretty good, even learned to animate on it, while I felt more comfortable animating with bones/skeletons/weights/rigs, Krita kinda took me out of that safe zone cause animating with it is pretty easy.
Donating/getting the Steam version is long overdue, but I heard this version was worse...? it kinda fixed the tablet sync issue I had with the free version for a while lol, now it's even more flawless, but I heard it crashes more especially on a steam deck, but I don't draw on my steam deck, the free version is supposedly better on that hardware.
Anyway, Photoshop is deader than Piratebay which was a tool most may've had to use to "afford" using Photoshop, so what are you waiting for? Hundreds of dollars worth of software is bad enough, but subscriptions should be banned. Maybe not literally, but people don't know how to vote with their wallets good enough. Not even this is worth a subscription but that's the good part, it doesn't have one. :)
