This is a very important song to me. After serving overseas in a pointless war (2003-2010), losing friends to it, and bits of myself. That followed by divorce, said divorce wrecking my life and finances, struggling to rebuild my life and career all while struggling with my clinically diagnosed post-war mental health issues, and brain injury. I felt lost, I felt broken, I felt worthless, I felt like a total failure, I felt undeserving of a decent life and even someone to love. I sat in my bedroom contemplating how I wanted to just end it all. To distract myself I went outside to work on my motorcycle, it is all I really have. I shuffled my playlist and eventually, this song came up. I stopped and really listened to the lyrics. I could not hold back my tears.
