It's quite poor mechanic-wise. It's often hard to distinguish the background from obstacles and some of them work in really weird ways. For example jumping on a bird kills you instantly, unless you slip on a banana peel, then you just kill the bird...

This would be okay as a free to play joke, or as a funny website flash-based game. The only reason anyone is buying it....you know it very well. I'd save your 1€ and just watch memes with doge on the internet.

Got this for free from someone randomly posting keys on facebook, and judging from the fact that out of 307 reviews, 302 are key activations, that's probably how most of the people got it. It's not completely bad...it's like a poor man's Trine. But then again, you can get Trine for about 2$ during steam sales. Is there any reason to get this instead? No, there isn't.

I would love to recommend this because I am a big fan of the franchise, but unfortunately I cannot do that, not for the full price at least.

MegaTagmension is a musou style game (like Dynasty Warriors) while the promise and potential is good, the problem is that the whole game consists of very short scenes in which you fight just 1 pack of monsters. The most gameplay you will get in a row is about 3 minutes. This is NOT a game in which you traverse large levels with monster packs, bosses, complete objectives etc. You load the scene, kill 20 mobs, and that's it. I haven't completed it yet, but the whole thing can probably be completed in about 3-4 hours tops. Of course there is some replayability thanks to leveling, lily ranks, treasures gathering and such.

Most of the time is spent in menus and reading dialogue cutscenes, which are funny and interesting as always in the Neptunia games, but when you have to spend 5 minutes reading dialogues to get 2 minutes of action it kind of kills the fun.

If you are a hardcore Neptunia fan, it will still be fun of course. Though I would suggest waiting for a sale. This game just isn't worth 30€.

Hands down the best Neptunia.

It's just more of Neptunia, which is always good.

Some interesting features/aspects that are worth highlighting:
-compared to rebirth1 this game has way more endings and focuses way more on choosing the route to the ending
-there's less non-story, side dungeons and most of them are confined to the very last chapter only available in the true ending route
-some of the possible routes are VERY dark, almost horror-like (which I loved, but there are some who hate it)

Overall, it's just more of the same and if you like the mechanics of Neptunia you will surely love it. If the story is the more important aspect for you, you might not love it, but you will still probably like it.

I was very sceptical towards Neptunia initially. I got this game on sale because I thought, hell it's still jrpg so it might be fun. And now I just regret not getting this for full price...

Don't let the style and design deter you, this is a MASTERPIECE. Crazy and innovative gameplay fused with classic turn based combat. Sick replayability with hundreds of things to complete across many playthroughs with a nice NG+ feature included. The plot's great too - humorous, engaging masterfully crafted story, ridden with metaphors and symbols of the gaming world. You just can't get enough of it.

Please play this, if you ever thought that jrpg is among your favorite genres. Stop supporting failure money suckers like I am Setsuna and check Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth! (Yeah, Trails in the Sky is also great and probably even better:P)

Very engaging and incredibly satisfactory. It's probably the best example of simple concept that turned out into such a great masterpiece. I've put 22 hours into it and for such a cheap game it really is a great value.

The hardest difficulty (grandmaster I think it is called) is a bit crazy though and I agree with people who are making negative comments about it. For such a tight and hardcore mode - there is too much randomness which makes it downright impossible to play on that difficulty.

That's just a minor gripe though and before getting to the highest difficulty there is a lot of fun and enjoying gameplay waiting for you.

I bought this game because I was looking for something similar to the all time legendary classic "Adventure Pinball Forgotten Island" and this one seemed the only similar one. For those unacquainted with the aforementioned title - it was a pinball with some creative interpretations in a colorful tropic island setting.

Rollers of the Realm is an amusing, narratively driven pinball game. If you're looking for a different interpretation of pinball go for it. Unfortunately I have to say that there is too much focus on the narrative here for my liking, but I like the concept in general and I think it's worth buying.

"DOOM" is a great game that has some of the spirit of the old school/classic fps shooters. Even though there is a range of "modern" features, which I guess have to be here because it's an AAA title, it's enjoyable and has the proper vibe.

Two minor gripes:
1. The game uses the checkpoint system instead of the classic manual saving. Checkpoint saving is the worst thing that has ever happened to gaming. They could have at least included manual saving on top of it.
2. Feels a bit too claustrophobic sometimes and just a tiny bit too little large fights with hordes of monsters.

Despite that, it's still a must have for fans of the genre though. Just get Serious Sam, new Shadow Warrior and possibly some editions of Painkiller before playing that if you didn't already. All of those are probably superior when it comes to classic arcade-y shooters.

I love this game. It's short, but has so many endings and possible ways of going through it. I enjoy it a lot even though I suck at games like that! I might just resort to a guide later to uncover all the endings - definitely great value for money.
